Zach joined the ScreenRant Anime team as a contributor in June 2024, before taking on a Senior Writer role in November. Since then, he has covered breaking news and produced features and lists about the most popular anime titles.

Few superheroes are as iconic as Superman. From his comic book origins to starring in countless big-budget Hollywood blockbusters, and appearing on any and all pieces of merchandise imaginable, Superman has become something of a mascot for an entire art form in the years since his 1938 debut.

In 2021, Jon Kent, son of Clark and Lois Lane, took on the mantle of Superman, and after five years, it appears his most fearsome nemesis has arrived.

DC's Superman Unlimited #11 is set to release on March 18th, 2026, and it will introduce Jon Kent's most fearsome foe yet, the time-bending fourth-dimension villain from the future named Master Txyz. Attached to the official preview from DC Comics is the ominous synopsis: "The final moments of Jon Kent!"

Jon Kent's Fated Arch Nemesis Has Arrived

The Latest Superman Villain Has Come from the Future to Destroy Jon Kent

Superman Unlimited #11 will introduce readers to Master Txyz, a time-traveling fourth-dimensional demonic force, who has made it a mission to destroy Jon Kent before the son of Superman has the chance to destroy him. Early on, he reveals the two face-off in an epic showdown that ends with Kent victorious.

In order to avoid that fate, Master Txyz travels to the past to take the hero down before they ever even have the opportunity to meet. Time-travel stories typically come with a healthy dose of overly complicated shenanigans and intricacies that can be tough to nail down, though it seems readers will be following a younger Jon Kent, as Superboy, throughout much of the upcoming confrontation.
