2026 ASC Award Winners Include ‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’

The American Society of Cinematographers doesn’t always predict the Oscar for Best Cinematography, but it certainly bolsters the case for “One Battle After Another” and cinematographer Michael Bauman, who on Sunday, March 8 won the ASC’s award in the theatrical feature film category — this is Bauman’s first ASC Award and nomination. He was also nominated for “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” in the Limited/ Anthology Series/ Motion Picture Made for TV category.

The most interesting moments of the night, however, belonged to the three television categories honored by the ASC. While Adam Newport-Barra winning for “The Studio” in the Half-Hour Episode category certainly wasn’t a surprise, the reign of “Adolescence” winning most awards for Limited Series/Anthology was upset by Pete Konczal and his work on “Black Rabbit.” Then there was actually a tie for the award in the Episode of a One-Hour Series category, which went to both Alex Disenhof for “Task” and Christophe Nuyens for “Andor.
