‘Zootopia 2’ To Hit Disney+ After 15 Weekends In Theaters

Disney Animation’s multi-record breaking, $1.85 billion grossing Zootopia 2 will finally hit Disney+ on March 11.

That’s a 105-theatrical window from the time the pic opened in theaters to the time it landed on Disney+. Disney post CEO Bob Chapek has been a bigger champion of theatrical windows.

The pic is the highest grossing animated MPA title of all time, will also ranking as the eighth highest grossing movie ever. Stateside with $425.9M, it recently became the highest grossing title from 2025. The film also marks the fifth title from Walt Disney Animation Studios to surpass $1 billion globally – a landmark achievement in the studio’s storied history. The pic recently received the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature and the Jared Bush and Byron Howard directed sequel is up for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.

The Zootopia franchise, which is comprised of the original film, Zootopia and Zootopia+, have been streamed over 805 million hours globally to date on Disney+.
