Zootopia 2 Coming to Disney+ March 11: Sequel to Iconic Animated Film

Zootopia 2 is officially making its way to Disney+.

After a record-breaking box office run, earning $1.85 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association (MPA) release of all time, and the eighth highest-grossing film ever, Zootopia 2 will now be available to watch at home on Disney+ March 11. The fifth title from Walt Disney Animation Studios to surpass $1 billion globally, Zootopia has raked in accolades since its November 2025 release, earning a BAFTA, a Rotten Tomatoes 96% Verified Hot Audience Score and an A CinemaScore, as well as an Academy Award nomination.

Zootopia 2 sees rookie cops Judy Hopps [ Ginnifer Goodwin] and Nick Wilde [ Jason Bateman] on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De'Snake [ Ke Huy Quan] arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.

The long-awaited Zootopia sequel has been praised for the outstanding cinematic experience it brings to audiences — filled with humor, heart, and, of course, world-class animation. Beyond its stunning visuals, the film also gives viewers a few new songs to jam along to, including the single, "Zoo," performed by Shakira, a.k.a. Gazelle.

Bringing Zootopia 2 to Disney+ builds on the success of the monster franchise — which includes Zootopia and Zootopia+ — creating a full Zootopia Collection on the streaming service that fans can dive into. Its addition to the streamer follows the film's March 3 physical DVD and Blu-ray release, and with Zootopia 2 becoming a massive VOD hit after it was made available for purchase and rental on January 27, the same level of success is likely to be replicated following its Disney+ release.
