Zendaya has confirmed whether Euphoria is really ending.

Now, while speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show (via Variety), Zendaya has opened up about if Euphoria season 3 really will be the ending for the show. When Barrymore asked her if this would be the last season, she replied with, "I think so, yeah." When Barrymore rephrased the question, the actor replied with, "Yes, I think so."

This seems to imply that Zendaya is mostly confident about this being the final season of the show. While there are no guarantees as to this being where the series ends, the actor did follow up with confirmation "That closure is coming," something which implies the episodes yet to arrive are being treated like the end of the series.

As of writing, it's been considerably hinted that the characters of Euphoria will be experiencing their final story arc in season 3. Although HBO hasn't officially confirmed season 3 will be the final season of the show, there have been many hints that this will be the case. This is especially apparent as all the high school students are now full-fledged adults in the story.

The show was also a launchpad for many large careers, including those of Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. The pair have starred in a number of high-profile films since the last time the series aired, from Zendaya's work in Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies to Sweeney's films like The Housemaid and Anyone But You.

Euphoria season 3 has had a long-delayed production. At first, the series was impacted by the 2023 Hollywood strikes, which saw actors and writers alike striking amid major negotiations around pay and AI use. Series creator Sam Levinson was also involved in creating The Idol, a show with a tumultuous production that was critically panned upon release.

Filming for season 3 began in February 2025, eventually ending in November 2025 for all actors. As the trailer for Euphoria season 3 indicates, it will feature a number of new stories that build atop the elements that came before, including Zendaya's Rue trying to stay sober and Sweeney's Cassie starting an OnlyFans page to make extra money.

Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn in Euphoria

Zendaya's latest statement signals this will be the end for the series, despite no direct confirmation that the show will be over with season 3. There appears to be a sense of finality to the show as well, especially now that all of its characters are out of high school and have embarked upon various paths in the world. How this changes everyone's dynamics remains to be seen.

Seeing as the show is delivering a whole new set of stories for its characters in a brand-new chapter of their lives, there are still bound to be some interesting, engaging new ideas that keep Euphoria season 3 fresh and exciting. But it's also beneficial to know that, if it doesn't return, the show will end with finality for its major characters.
