Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

It was earlier this month that the creator of an unofficial The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake announced that it would be scrapping the project as a result of the official remake launching later this year. Feeling that they have no need to continue work on an unofficial remake, creator CryZENx took to their Patreon channel to announce the news.

"I would like to tell you that Ocarina of Time project has officially stopped," their post reads. "Also, thanks so much to all the longtime supporters, you have been supporting me for like a decade. I owe you a lot. Also, thanks to all the newcomers that came in since the Nintendo announcement.... you are a true hero. THANK YOU!"

With the 'Nintendo announcement' referring to Nintendo's latest Direct showcase, it was here that we learned that an official The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is on the cards. Set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, it will mark the first remastered version of the game since the 3DS version launched back in 2011. However, with this one expected to feature a much different artstyle, it remains to be seen if it will be appreciated by fans.

In the meantime, CryZENx has been working on an unofficial version over the past few years, sharing regular updates to their YouTube page, as well as releasing the completed chapters online for fans to download and play themselves. It is these chapters that are still available to download, with CryZENx announcing that it will not be taking them down.

However, that has not stopped fans from feeling disappointed with the news of the project's cancellation. As such, they took to the Patreon comments to share their thoughts.

"Cry, my man," the top comment reads. "Do whatever makes you happy. It doesn’t matter what others think, it’s your own time and free will. Whatever it is, we’ll support you." In the meantime, others used the opportunity to share which projects they would like to see from CryZENx next.

"Imagine Link to the Past in the 3D graphics that you've been doing for OoT," one suggested. "That is my dream wish to have that game." Another had different hopes, saying, "Do what makes you happy. But if you're asking what makes us happy, Twilight Princess is a good one. Still sad to see your flavor of OOT ended. I was and still am excited about it."

With another user suggesting, "Minish Cap is the least likely to get a Nintendo remake, but I'm sure you'd put in a lot of good work on Twilight Princess. My vote still goes to Minish though," it seems as though CryZENx has a lot of options available to them.

In the meantime, we can look forward to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake launching later this year for the Nintendo Switch 2.
