Young Sheldon’s Undisputed Best Character Returns In Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 3

The absolute best character in Young Sheldon is coming back in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. CBS's fall 2026 lineup is heavier on procedurals and crime shows, but the Eye Network still has TV's number 1 comedy in The Big Bang Theory prequel. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment's sitcom is entering its junior year with its own identity fully established, although the legacy of Young Sheldon will continue to dictate some of its storylines.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage was born out of the accidental success of its lead characters' story in Young Sheldon. Their unplanned romance resonated enough to be the anchor of a second The Big Bang Theory sequel. Young Sheldon's ending may have focused on wrapping up Sheldon's childhood in Texas, but it didn't mean that the Coopers' story also wrapped up. Since its debut in 2024, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage has brought back a handful of familiar Medford faces, and in season 3, they're once again seeing the return of a fan-favorite.

Missy Returns In Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage Season 3

Previously, various images and videos from the set of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 have confirmed the return of Zoe Perry's Mary. This was expected, considering what happened at the end of season 2. However, a subsequently shared clip during the comedy's live taping has also revealed that Raegan Revord's Missy is also making an appearance in the upcoming run of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3.

As seen on the screenshot of the set video of the series, Sheldon and Georgie's sister can be seen on the right-hand side of the McAllister dinner table. Since the clip was taken during a break in taping, it's difficult to predict what is going on in the scene. It's possible that Missy's scenes won't actually be in Jim and Audrey's house, but instead back in the Cooper family's home — something that has happened a few times in the past two seasons of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Otherwise, it also makes sense that she would be among her brother's in-laws, considering her relationship with them.

Why Missy Was Young Sheldon's True Best Character

Sheldon may have been Young Sheldon's true lead, but it doesn't mean that he was its best character. As the series progressed, it outgrew its premise and turned into a family comedy-drama. CBS, Chuck Lorre, and his team started diversifying its storytelling by giving other characters their respective narratives, and in some cases, they were better than what Sheldon was doing. However, even before this, Missy was already a standout in Young Sheldon, either with her own experiences or small quirks.

In the bigger scheme of things, Missy was a great foil to Sheldon. She was one of the reasons why Young Sheldon was able to make its storytelling feel so grounded despite the boy genius' absurd experiences. Aside from being very fun to watch, her relationships with her family, in relation with how they treat her twin, and having more realistic experiences, Missy's reactions and behavior felt very real. That's why, even as she continues to rebel in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, which started after George's death, people are more sympathetic to her.
