Xbox Game Pass members are getting a nice little surprise for 2026, but you'd be excused for not hearing about it already. For whatever reason, the popular subscription service from Xbox has been a bit mum on two free games that will be day-one additions to Game Pass this year. At a time when Game Pass' May games are dropping, it's nice to see what's in store for us down the road.

So far, the full sprawl of May titles for Game Pass hasn't been revealed, but thanks to Gamescom Latam, two games are now confirmed to be day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass this year, even though neither game has a release date yet. While ScreenRant was at Gamescom Latam, the news was also shared by PureXbox.

The two games revealed to be day-one additions to Game Pass are Corsair Cove and Mariachi Legends. Right now, Corsair Cover will only be on PC, but this town-building adventure centers around pirates, which is already a win in our books. You'll be in charge of fleets, a pirate safe haven, and be tasked with maintaining routes and production chains.

Meanwhile, Mariachi Legends is a self-described Metroidvania with a pixel-art style. It's confirmed for PC as well, but it'll also be arriving on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Cloud Gaming sometime toward the end of 2026. You can view the new trailer for Maricahi Legends above. The announcement trailer for Corsair Cove can be found below.

Neither of the games were shown off with their Game Pass releases during the last Xbox Partner Preview in March, and we haven't seen anything major from Xbox announcing them either. So, you'd be forgiven if you haven't heard about Corsair Cove or Mariachi Legends being day-one titles on Game Pass. Both games look pretty cool, though, so we're happy to check them out once they arrive.

It's been a pretty big year for Xbox so far. From a price reduction for Game Pass Ultimate to removing Call of Duty as day-one titles, there's been plenty of news to keep Game Pass in the headlines right now. Of course, the biggest draw for subscribers are always going ot be the monthly games and day-one releases, so it's nice to see two more games being confirmed for Xbox Game Pass later this year. So far, neither game has a release date but both are expected to arrive in the later part of 2026.
