Xbox Game Pass is a compelling subscription offering with a ton of different games for players to enjoy, whether they be major fans of RPGs or indie gems from tiny developers the world over. It became more so yesterday, when Xbox CEO Asha Sharma confirmed that the price for the Ultimate tier would be decreasing, with the caveat that Call of Duty would no longer be a Day One release.
The big drawback with signing up to a service like Game Pass is that you don't really own any of the games you play, and they have the potential to be removed at any time with the expiration of licensing deals and other market factors. Now, nine more are set to leave the service before the end of April, so you'll want to download and play them quickly before then if any take your fancy.
As first reported by TrueAchievements, Xbox has revealed the second wave of titles set to leave the service this month, and it's a pretty hefty list with some genuinely good games on it.
- Citizen Sleeper
- Creatures of Ava
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
- Endless Legend 2 (Windows)
- Goat Simulator
- Goat Simulator: Remastered
- Hunt: Showdown 1896
- Hunt: Showdown 1896 (Windows)
- Revenge of the Savage Planet
- Revenge of the Savage Planet (Windows)
- NHL 24
- NHL 24 (Xbox One)
There are plenty of games on that list that you can complete over the next week or so if you fancy doing it before they go away, with Goat Simulator in particular rewarding players with a 100% completion run with all achievements in under 10 hours.
At the same time, Citizen Sleeper, Revenge of the Savage Planet, and Creatures of Ava all run for about 10 hours in their main story, with a few extra hours required to get everything done. That means that, realistically, you could get three or four of these games done and dusted before they go away when April turns to May.
At the same time, there is some good news for subscribers, with plenty of games also being added to the service this month (which is likely why so many are leaving at the same time). The full list of those is as follows:
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (Game Pass Premium)
- EA Sports NHL 26
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Little Rocket Lab (Game Pass Premium)
- Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato (Game Pass Premium)
- Vampire Crawlers
- Kiln
- Aphelion
- Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era
Given the reduction in price as well, it's a decent month to be signed up, and continues a pretty strong year for Xbox in the Game Pass department.
