Woman Arrested After Firing Gun Toward Rihanna's Beverly Hills Home While Singer Was Inside

New details have come to light about an incident at Rihanna’s home.

After a woman was arrested for firing multiple shots toward the “Diamonds” singer’s house in Beverly Hills March 8, Los Angeles police confirmed her identity as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, who was booked for attempted murder in connection with the shooting, according to Oxygen.com

The 35-year-old— who is being accused of firing shots from inside her vehicle at around 1 p.m.—is currently being held on a $10,225,000 bond, according to records reviewed by E! News, with authorities describing the situation as an active LAPD Robbery Homicide Division investigation.

Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their kids RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and 5-month-old Rocki were home at the time of the incident, per NBC News, when one of at least 10 rounds penetrated a wall of the house, a law enforcement source told The Los Angeles Times.

Police sergeant Jonathan de Vera confirmed to the outlet that no injuries were reported.

E! News has reached out to Rihanna's rep and the LAPD for comment but hasn't heard back. E! News has not been able to find contact information for an attorney for Ortiz.

This isn’t the first frightening ordeal to happen to the Fenty Beauty founder. Back in 2018, a man broke into her house in the Hollywood Hills by hopping a fence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney

The perpetrator—identified by the D.A. as Eduardo Leon—spent 12 hours inside the “Umbrella” singer’s home before he was discovered by an assistant. The 27-year-old pleaded no contest to stalking and was ultimately ordered to stay away from Rihanna for 10 years.

Previously, the mom of three (born Robyn Fenty) opened up about prioritizing privacy for her little ones, especially during an emotional moment when paparazzi were trying to snap a photo of RZA before she shared him with the world.

"It's the thing you never want to happen," she told British Vogue in 2023. "We get to decide as parents when and how we do that. End of story."

"Throw me to the wolves. Do what you want with me. But he doesn't have a say in any of this," she added. "We've been protecting him thus far and you don't have any consent to be posting photos or selling photos of my child, a minor. Get the hell out of here with that."

In fact, safety has been on Rihanna's brain even before becoming a mom. Before welcoming her first baby, she confessed that she would “not play” when it came to protecting her little ones, noting she would take a page from Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s parenting handbook.

“She will flatten you about those kids,” the beauty mogul told Teen Vogue in 2022. "And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that's the type of mom I'm going to be."
