Saturday Night Live isn't airing new episodes tonight, which means that viewers will have to wait for Connor Storrie's hosting debut. NBC's premier sketch comedy series is known to line up the hottest celebrities and musical acts for its weekly show. During the 2025-2026 TV cycle thus far, it has already seen the likes of Olivia Dean, Amy Poehler, Sabrina Carpenter, Cher, and Teyana Taylor, among others.
Coming off of the momentous SNL 50 milestone, the Lorne Michaels-spearheaded show has been rocked by multiple exits in its current run. Ahead of season 51's debut, long-time members Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim were confirmed to be leaving, as well as newer additions, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow. Subsequently, Bowen Yang also left in the middle of the cycle. Amid that, SNL season 51 added Tommy Brennan, Kam Patterson, Veronika Slowikowska, and Ben Marshall.
Why There's No New Saturday Night Live Episode Tonight, February 14, 2026
Some might find themselves baffled tonight, February 14, 2026 after not finding SNL season 51, episode 13 airing in its usual timeslot. NBC is preempting its broadcast of the show for the second consecutive week in 2026. This is primarily due to the network's ongoing coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. The 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics will start at 11:30 PM ET and will last until 1 AM ET.
For what it's worth, SNL isn't the only show impacted by the ongoing high-profile sporting event. Other shows on NBC have also gone off the air for the next few weeks to give way to the special programming, including all three One Chicago shows — Chicago Fire season 14, Chicago PD season 13, and Chicago Med season 11. Even other networks such as ABC has also preempted their regular scheduled broadcasts for the Winter Olympics.
When SNL Returns With Connor Storrie As The Host
The good news is that NBC has already confirmed when the sketch show will resume its programming. SNL season 51, episode 13 will air on February 28, 2026, in its usual timeslot. As previously announced, the outing will see the Heated Rivalry breakout star, Connor Storrie make his hosting debut at Studio 8H. Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons will be his accompanying musical guest.
Because the outing isn't due to air until a couple of more weeks, NBC and SNL have yet to have any promos for the episode. Those are usually filmed in the week leading up to the live show, while writing sketches and rehearsals are also happening. What's curious, however, is if SNL will tap into Storrie's Heated Rivalry fame and do a parody, or if they're going in an entirely different direction. Either way, all will be known before the end of the month.
