The highly anticipated fourth season of From, the mysterious MGM+ horror series, has been releasing on a weekly cadence since its premiere on April 19th. The regular installments have enhanced the show's viewing experience, as viewers can spend the time between episodes discussing the story's advancement and developing fan theories about From's still-hazy big picture.
Of course, From's mysteries have left fans eager for answers from the very beginning, and while the weekly release allows time for speculation, it also doesn't leave viewers hanging for too long. On the whole, it makes for a much smoother viewing experience than Netflix's unique tactic of splitting seasons into "volumes" and dropping those volumes months apart.
This weekend, however, From season 4's consistency will be disrupted for the first time.
From Season 4 Isn't Releasing A New Episode On May 24th Due To Memorial Day
Credit: Chris Reardon/MGM+There will be no new episode of From this weekend, confirmed by the show's official schedule as well as star Harold Perrineau in a brief post (X). While MGM+ has not given a formal explanation of the delay, it's common for shows to avoid releases on holiday weekends when many viewers will likely be away from their TVs.
With Memorial Day this coming Monday, May 25, From's regular Sunday evening release falls right in the middle of a long holiday weekend. Ultimately, though, with last week's episode, From reached an appropriate, albeit frustrating, place for a mid-season break.
Episode 5, "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been", took the show places it's never been before. Through Jade's psychedelic mushroom trip and the settlement's horrific experience with giant, murderous dolls, Tabitha and Jade had brand-new experiences that allowed them to tap into new memories, bringing them closer to the Township's mysterious center.
It was an episode unlike any other to date, packed with action, horror, and new information for the townsfolk. While their work is far from over, it was a clear breakthrough and a powerful midpoint for this season's story. Mid-season breaks are common for shows that release weekly, and From is at the perfect place for one, both in its story and its episode count. Luckily for fans, this break will be a short one.

There will be ten episodes in total, and the back half will pick up after a one-week break. From will return with episode 6, "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter", on Sunday, May 31. From there, the rest of From season 4 will maintain its weekly cadence.

From deceased townspeople's nightmares coming to life to the Township's cycles historically ending in a brutal massacre of the townspeople's own doing, "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been" dropped several bombshells on both its characters and its viewers. Given the impact of the episode, a brief break will perhaps allow fans to maximize one of the show's most unique qualities.
4 Years Later, From Officially Explains All Of Jade's Visions
Jade has been having visions since coming to Town in From season 1, and now, four years later, the MGM+ horror series has explained what they mean.
From offers a puzzle for its viewers just as much as its characters. The show's slowly-revealing mystery allows fans to mentally participate with the Township, thinking, speculating, and disagreeing with some characters more than others. This mid-season break makes now the perfect time to catch up on the show and engage with other fans before From concludes its penultimate season.
