NBC Like the majority of its scripted portfolio, NBC is still preempting its Thursday night primetime broadcast to prioritize its coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. The broadcaster has been the primary destination for all things happening in the sporting event.

So instead of the popular Wolf Entertainment procedurals airing tonight, NBS is broadcasting Primetime in Milan: The Olympics, which is expected to cover events such as Figure Skating, Speed Skating, and Freestyle Skiing. The special TV event will start at 8 PM ET and will run until 11 PM ET. Luckily, because Law & Order and SVU's respective breaks are tied to the Winter Olympics, both shows are confirmed to resume their usual weekly schedule once the even is over. As confirmed by NBC, the legacy procedurals will be back with fresh episodes on February 26, 2026. Next week's Thursday block will start at 8 PM ET with Law & Order season 25, episode 13, "New Normal." No official synopsis has been released for the outing, but its trailer sees Theo Walker going undercover to bust a rampant gang.

It will be followed by Law & Order: SVU season 27, episode 13, "Corrosive," which will see the team taking on a case involving "an attempt on a respected judge's life is connected to an anonymous video posted to the SVU tip line." Elsewhere in the offering, "Rollins tries to help a victim come to terms with their abuse." The trailer teases a con-man being the week's main perpetrator, as Benson works to convince his victims to turn against him.
