They failed to find lasting love on Married At First Sight, but Bec Zacharia and Mel Akbay appeared to have much better luck finding a good party on Thursday night.

The newly single brides let their hair down at the launch of the Sheep Dog Dog House at the Newtown Hotel in Sydney.

Proving there was no lingering hangover from their ill-fated television marriages, the reality stars laughed, posed and enjoyed drinks inside the venue's very pink photo booth.

Bec, 36, showed off her figure in a fitted black turtleneck and satin miniskirt finished with a delicate lace trim.

She completed her leggy ensemble with sheer stockings and wore her brunette locks loose around her shoulders.

The Adelaide socialite was in a mischievous mood as she poked out her tongue for the camera while clutching a cocktail.

Are reality dating shows setting women up for heartbreak or empowering them to move on stronger?

What's your view?

Mel, 28, kept things more casual in a black top, loose-fitting blue jeans and an oversized black coat.

The communications specialist added a playful touch to her outfit by slipping on a bright orange Sheep Dog cowboy hat before striking a series of animated poses.

The former brides appeared to be having a barking good time as they cuddled up inside the fluffy hot-pink booth.

Love Island Australia alum Phoebe Spiller also joined the reality television pack for the invite-only celebration.

The former Islander flashed her toned midriff in a fitted black crop top, which she paired with wide-leg jeans and a brown blazer.

Phoebe beamed between two male friends as the trio posed in front of the colourful Sheep Dog display.

The launch marked the beginning of the whiskey brand's Dog House takeover at the Newtown Hotel, which will run from August 13 until August 30.

The dog-themed pop-up features peanut butter and jelly cocktails, ice-cold shots, a 'Bark Booth' and a string of events for patrons and their four-legged companions.

Bec's carefree night out comes after her turbulent marriage to real estate agent Danny Hewitt played out on the latest season of MAFS.

She was left devastated at Final Vows after declaring her love for Danny, only for him to admit he saw her as a friend and could not picture them starting a family together.

Bec later described the split as one of the hardest experiences of her life and claimed Danny 'completely cut her off' shortly after filming.

She said she returned home and spent several days in bed crying as she struggled to process the abrupt end of their relationship.

Mel's marriage to Victorian farmer Luke Fourniotis was similarly short-lived.

The pair clashed almost immediately after meeting at the altar, with their very different personalities and expectations creating tension throughout the experiment.

Mel ultimately admitted she did not feel a romantic connection with her groom, and the couple left the show separately before Final Vows.

Meanwhile, Phoebe found love with Mitchell Eliot on the fourth season of Love Island Australia in 2022.

The couple became runners-up after forming a connection on the first day in the villa, but announced their split in July 2024.

Thursday's festivities launched a packed program at the Newtown Hotel, including 'Yappy Hour', dog-friendly dining, quiz nights, drag bingo and a grooming event offering pooches nail painting and blow-dries.
