Kyle Sandilands reveals he's starting weight loss jabs after smashing meat pie live on air before 7am - and defends taking the medication away from 'people who really need it'

Kyle Sandilands has confirmed that he is set to start weight loss jabs in an effort to slim down. 

The shock jock made the announcement on Friday's episode of his new subscription-only radio show, Kyle Sandilands Live, shortly after inhaling a chicken meat pie. 

The 55-year-old admitted that he'd been recently criticised for 'taking the medication away from people who really need it'. 

He defended his choice, insisting that he did need the GLP-1 Mounjaro injections, which are designed to treat diabetes, but are also used to aid weight loss. 

'You can only be a fat beast like me for so long before you think, f**k it.... I'm gonna be doing it (taking the shots),' he said. 

Kyle continued: 'I'm taking the needle. If I had a headache, I would take a Panadol. If I had a sore throat, I would take a vitamin C. If I wanted to root around in Thailand, I would take PREP.  What's the difference?'

Despite recent reported supply issues with GLP-1 medications, the radio host insisted that there was plenty of the medication to go around and that 'everyone uses it.' 

'If you've ever seen someone who needs it more than me... there's not like a supply issue. Every bastard's on the needle,' he said. 

Kyle had displayed his questionable eating habits before making the comments on his weight loss plans, smashing a chicken parmigiana pie with tomato sauce for breakfast, shortly before 7am. 

The media personality had earlier lost 20 kilos ahead of his wedding with Tegan Kynaston in 2023, after tipping the scales at 140 kilos. 

Back in April, Kyle revealed that his wife Tegan Kynaston had put him on a strict diet. 

The former KIIS FM star told his followers at the time that Tegan was monitoring his food intake to help improve his health amid an ongoing weight battle.

'I'm coming back guys, Bigger than ever! Actually, not fatter, I'm doing an Albo just quietly, my missus has got me on a diet,' Kyle said.

'This morning I ate ten grapes for breakfast. Like, what the f**k? Oh, and two boiled eggs and a four-pack of Coke, I drank half a tin of Coca-Cola,' he said.

Kyle added that one of the reasons he was dieting was that he was fed up with negative comments about his appearance. 

'I am sick of people talking s**t about me. Enough is enough,' he said. 

The comment prompted Kyle's long-time manager Bruno Bouchet to reassure him: 'You look great, mate.' 

'That's Bruno... He's being paid to say that...' Kyle quipped.

Kyle has been battling significant health issues in recent years, including a brain aneurysm and a chest aortic aneurysm, which he has attributed to smoking and other lifestyle factors.
