What The Next MCU Show After Daredevil: Born Again S2 Is (& When It Releases)

VisionQuest Has Been In Development Since 2022

VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany as Vision, with James Spader reprising his role as Ultron. The series was first announced back in 2022, following the events of the WandaVision series, which saw Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, recreate her beloved Vision using Chaos magic.

By the end of the series, it is revealed that Vision's broken body was captured by S.W.O.R.D. and they used it to create a new version of the synthetic humanoid who they tasked with destroying Wanda. However, Wanda's Vision combined his memories with the new White Vision, and the resulting being flew away in order to make sense of their identity.

This is where VisionQuest is set to pick up the story, with White Vision reconciling his identity, and dealing with new issues that appear to see his story coincide with Ultron once again.

Despite being announced in 2022, the show has been a slow burn from announcement to release, and even now, without a release date in place, it feels a little jarring considering how the MCU has often had a roadmap that goes out a few years. Beyond that, the show actually wrapped filming in July 2025.

Every Other Marvel Shows Upcoming & In Development

At present, it seems as though Marvel Studios is playing its cards close to its chest with the upcoming soft reset that will come with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Regardless, there are a handful of Marvel TV shows currently slated for release, with even more in development for the coming months and years ahead.

In terms of what is next from Marvel in general, Spider-Noir is due to come out on Prime Video from May 25, 2026. This project comes from Sony, who own the bulk of the rights for Spider-Man stories in feature and live-action formats. The series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, aka Spider-Noir, in a 1930s noir setting.

Also, outside of the MCU proper, X-Men '97 is set to deliver the second season in the Summer. While this series is a reboot of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series from the 1990s, it has also been an incredible foundation for Marvel's approach to telling mutant stories ahead of the Mutant Saga, which is expected to replace the Multiverse Saga after Avengers: Secret Wars.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 is expected to arrive on Disney+ in the Fall of 2026. This animated series follows a young Peter Parker who is learning to handle his powers while dealing with some of the greatest villains from the Spider-Man archive of villains.

Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is expected to come out in March 2027, a year after this season wraps. This season is currently being filmed, with news and rumors already circulating thanks to set photos being leaked online.

And finally, Wonder Man season 2 is expected to come out in either 2027 or 2028. The show was widely praised upon the premiere season's release, and a second season was then confirmed to be in development at Marvel. Evidently, Marvel still has a significant slate of projects coming out in 2026 and beyond after Daredevil: Born Again season 2 concludes.
