American Idol season 22 finalist Kaibrienne placed 8th in the reality singing competition in 2024, and she's been busy furthering her music career since the season ended. Kaibrienne, a 20-year-old from Henefer, Utah, who turned 21 three days after the finale on May 22, earned a golden ticket to Hollywood from all three judges--Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan--with her powerful audition song, "Something in the Orange" by Zach Bryan.
Throughout American Idol season 22, Kaibrienne was known for her emotional pop rock style. For her Top 20 performance, Kaibrienne sang her original song, "girl i am now," which earned her a place in the Top 14. She also put her own spin on classic songs such as "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Heaven" by Bryan Adams, "Zombie" by The Cranberries, "I Hate Myself for Loving You" by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus, "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down, and "traitor" by Olivia Rodrigo. Kaibrienne shared, "I wrote this song when I was craving love from someone who wasn’t ready to give it to me in the way I was. I’ve always been the kind of person that if I feel something, I say it. So trying to have a genuine relationship in a generation that glorifies games & situationships, I often felt wrong expressing how I really felt… This is my anthem to all the people out there who just wanna be loved the way they love."
On Instagram, Kaibrienne also teased some other new songs, including a duet with her fellow American Idol season 22 contestant, Kayko.

In a July 10 Instagram post, Kaibrienne wrote about her first single, "girl i am now," reaching over million streams. She shared a video of herself singing the song while playing the piano. In the caption of the post she wrote, "Still can’t comprehend that this song has over a million streams… I love you guys."

On July 30, 2024, Kaibrienne performed at Franklin Summer Bash in Franklin, Tennessee, along with some of her fellow American Idol season 22 contestants. They included Kayko, Mia Matthews, McKenna Faith Breinholt, Jack Blocker, and Quintavious Johnson. In addition, Maddi Jane from The Voice season 25 performed.
In the fall of 2024, Kaibrienne will be part of the "Young & Out of Love" tour, which will play in 21 cities. The tour includes Kaibrienne's fellow American Idol season 22 finalists Kayko and Blake Proehl, as well as American Idol season 21 finalist Haven Madison. In a September Instagram post, Kayko announced the tour, which kicked off on October 29, 2024, in Portland, Oregon, and will wrap up on November 27, 2024, in Los Angeles, California.
