"We know you know, but how about we tell you some more now?" - Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced worldwide reveal announced for this week

Ubisoft will officially unveil its long-in-the-pipeline Black Flag remake - officially known as Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - with a dedicated showcase.

Sharing the showcase announcement on social media, the Assassin's Creed team wrote: "We know you know, but how about we tell you some more now?"

The Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced showcase will air later this week, on 23rd April. For those in the UK, things will be kicking off on YouTube at 5pm. For those elsewhere, that's 4pm UTC/ 6pm CEST /9pm PDT. "The iconic solo pirate adventure returns," the YouTube blurb teases, suggesting that a multiplayer mode is not included.

Of course, and as Ubisoft has acknowledged, we do indeed already know more than Ubisoft wanted us to at this stage in the remake's reveal. In fact, while I won't link to it here, footage from the upcoming showcase is currently making the rounds online. Earlier this month, the alleged release date for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced also leaked.

Needless to say, the journey to the official unveiling of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced has been a turbulent one, eventually making it one of gaming's worst kept secrets - something as you can see in the post above, Ubisoft is leaning into. Back in August of last year, voice actor Matt Ryan - who portrayed protagonist Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag - claimed legal action was brought against him by Ubisoft after hinting at its existence during a convention. However, rumours of a remake were circulating long before that.

In March this year, Ubisoft made the remake official, sharing artwork of Kenway posing mastward accompanied by the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced logo.
