A scheduled meet-and-greet with US rockers CKY was cancelled by the band after one member discovered the high price point for the experience.
The band's drummer, Jess Margera, 47, took to X on the eve of CKY's final Australian show in Brisbane on Sunday.
Jess, who is the older brother of embattled Jackass star Bam Margera, wrote that he was shocked to discover that fans were being asked to fork out $200 for an up-close and-personal experience with the band.
The VIP meet-and-greet experience gave fans the chance to take a photo with Jess, singer Chad I Ginsberg and bass player Mike Leon.
'Australia, I love you guys but I will never understand paying $200 to take a picture with my dumb a**,' Jess wrote.
Continuing, Jess said he was unaware of the cost and encouraged fans to buy him a beer instead.

'I'm flattered and everything, but I didn't know about this meet and greet thing and I just found out what the price is and that's crazy,' Jess added.
'Just buy me a beer and I'll take a pic NP.'
Jess followed the post with a comment explaining that the band had decided to scrap the planned Brisbane meet and greet altogether.
'We cancelled tonight's meet and greet and refunded everyone's 200 bucks. Come say hello to us for free, we will be hanging out,' he revealed.
'Your money should go to rocking TF out, and buy some merch if you like. I don't need an ego trip. I don't give a f*** about that bulls***.'
The post was praised by fans on social media with one saying on Reddit: 'Don't know this person but I'll make damn sure to familiarise myself now. We need more artists like this!'
Another added: 'Don't know him but props. If only celebrities at cons can do this because $500 for quick photo or $200 for a signature is crazy.'
A third summed up the sentiment of many with: 'Never heard of this human, but I will totally buy them a beer,' to which another replied: 'Never heard of him before but will be listening to some CKY on my way home from work today.'

The tour marked CKY's first trip to Australia in 14 years

It was a similar story over on Instagram, with fans praising Jess's move on the band's page.
'The Brisbane gig was amazing! What a perfect night. Thanks for hanging out afterwards and please do come back soon,' one excited fan wrote.
Another added: 'Thanks for being the legends you've always been. Appreciate the pic and signatures.'
The tour marked CKY's first trip to Australia in 14 years, with a planned Down Under trip with fellow rockers Alien Ant farm scuttled due to a fracas between frontmen.
CKY's Chad allegedly punched Alien Ant Farm's Dryden Mitchell in the face during a show in the UK.
Following the alleged incident, CKY were booted off the Australian leg of the tour, replaced by Drowning Pool.
'Nothing wrong with defending yourself from a bad guy,' Chad wrote in an Instagram Story at the time.
'If you are attacked or feel threatened, have no fear and stop the threat however you can.'
