An insider has categorically shot down the swirl of speculation that Pink would be taking over as host of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Clarkson announced last month that her NBC talk-show will end later this year so that she could 'prioritize my kids' River, 11, and Remy, nine - a move that came after their father Brandon Blackstock died of cancer last August at the age of 48.
Rumors reached a fever pitch that Pink, who recently guest-hosted the show for a week when Clarkson was away, will slide into her seat, via Page Six.
However a source has now exclusively informed the Daily Mail: 'The rumors of her “taking over” The Kelly Clarkson Show are now officially DEAD after NBC Universal shuttered their syndicated department and Kelly’s show was part of that unit.'
NBC Universal announced the closure of its first-run syndication division earlier this week, scuttling shows like Access Hollywood in the process.
However the Daily Mail's source also confirmed the conjecture about the 48-year-old's actual next move - a potential residency at the Sphere Las Vegas.
The Daily Mail has contacted Pink's representatives for comment.
An insider has categorically shot down the swirl of speculation that Pink would be taking over as host of The Kelly Clarkson Show after guest-hosting for a week
'There will be NO replacement for Kelly, especially Pink,' explained the insider. 'The show is DONE at the end of this season. No replacements.'
The source then shared that the Sphere's bosses had been 'after' Pink 'for several years,' believing that 'with her aerial stunts and hits-packed catalogue she could be the PERFECT act to do a show there for years and years.'
According to the source, the venue was 'ready' to 'pay,' with the brass feeling the Pink concerts 'could bring in MILLIONS every night for the venue and singer.'
The insider added that she 'could pocket the same amount money in one weekend of shows as she would in an entire year of hosting a talk show.'
It was reported this Thursday that Pink is 'bound for Sphere next year,' on an episode of the local Las Vegas entertainment program Neon.
Now the Daily Mail's source has said the venue - which opened in 2023 with a 40-show run by U2 - 'will pull out every stop to make this residency happen.'
The Sphere Las Vegas is said to be particularly keen on Pink in light of the fact a long-rumored Harry Styles residency failed to materialize.
It was claimed last March that Styles was in the final stages of talks to play 35 concerts at the Sphere as soon as late 2025, via the New York Post.

Pink recently denied claims she has split from her racing driver husband Carey Hart, whom she has been married to for 20 years and is pictured with at Wimbledon last year
'After plans for a Harry Styles residency did not come about after years of trying, all feel that Pink could be the perfect act to keep the venue on their hot streak,' an insider has now explained to the Daily Mail.
Pink, who recently denied claims she has split from her racing driver husband Carey Hart, offered her own statement on rumors she would replace Clarkson.
'Just in a continuation of debunking all of the sources that we've got going on in the world. I'm not taking over the Kelly Clarkson Show,' she said in a video.
'I'm doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it's a fun thing. If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I'm currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world.'
