Travis Kelce Praises Taylor Swift’s “Unbelievable” Eras Tour
Could Travis Kelce be saying so long to the NFL?
After 12 seasons as the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ohio native hinted he might be looking at retirement sooner rather than later while reflecting on his team's win over the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 15.
"It felt so surreal," Travis confessed about returning home on the Dec. 18 episode of his New Heights podcast. "I don't know if it's the last time I'll play in Cleveland, but it kinda felt like I was just giving it one last hoorah before I'm done because I've only played there twice in 12 years."
And since the 35-year-old has played there so infrequently, he doesn't "really see it ever happening again."
He added, "It was just a special day for me personally."
"I just love that city, man. It was so fun," Travis gushed to his brother and cohost Jason Kelce, who retired from the NFL earlier this year. "When we flew in, I felt like a tour guide, just telling everybody every single city that we were going past, every monument, every building."
And the Super Bowl champ—who has been dating Taylor Swift since last year—was particularly moved that so many important people from his childhood could be there to watch him play.
"All the people that we knew that helped mold me and have the values that I have today," he said. "A lot of them were at the game."

Earlier this year, Travis got candid about potential retirement, and while it's definitely something he's thinking about, he wasn't ready to officially hang up his jersey just yet.
"I'm still enjoying coming to work. I'm not dreadin' practices," he said on the Rich Eisen Show in September. "I'm just having so much fun and just so appreciative and so fortunate that I've been able to come into year 12 and still have this energy and this love and the ability to go out there and get to work."
And being part of the Chiefs for the 2024 season was especially exciting, as he and his team are hoping for their third Super Bowl win in a row.
"I think the excitement of the challenge of this year, being able to maybe do it a third time in a row," he added. "I think that alone was all I needed to come back."

Still, that doesn't mean he hasn't given some thought to his post-NFL career—which includes taking a page out of brother Jason's own retirement playbook.
"I want to broadcast when I'm done playing," Travis explained on New Heights in June, before putting on a transatlantic accent to make his brother laugh. "I wanna be right here and tell them about the game, the old ball coach, ladies and gentlemen."
Travis continued, "I want to be the talking head that calls the games."
