Some of the best new shows that are trending on Prime Video right now are also the greatest shows to binge-watch this weekend, March 13–15, 2026. With Winter almost finally over, these three Prime Video shows will keep viewers hooked before we welcome in the Spring season next week.
Screen Rant's best shows to binge-watch on Prime Video guide for last week included the celebrated crime comedy series Deadloch ahead of its season 2 premiere, as well as classic, acclaimed hits like The Practice and The Expanse. This week, Screen Rant has rounded up the top 3 most viral series on Prime Video right now that are worth all the hype – you don't want to miss these hits.
56 Days
56 Days has been one of the most viral series on Prime Video since it premiered back in mid-February. The 8-part thriller series combines suspense and murder mystery with steamy romance to create the ultimate weekend binge on Prime Video. 56 Days, which is based on the novel by Catherine Ryan Howard, is currently the #3 most-watched Prime Video series in the world.
56 Days has earned mostly positive feedback from audiences, as evidenced by the fact that it's been trending for the past month and earned a 76% Rotten Tomatoes audience score. With its gripping whodunnit premise, star lead performances by Avan Jogia and Dove Cameron, and consistently high viewership, 56 Days is worth checking out on Prime Video this weekend, especially if you haven't seen it already.
Young Sherlock
Like 56 Days, Young Sherlock is an 8-part whodunnit mystery series that has been a consistent hit on Prime Video since its release. A prequel to the beloved Sherlock Holmes franchise, this series was co-created by Guy Ritchie, who famously directed the 2009 Sherlock Holmes film starring Robert Downey Jr. Young Sherlock follows the famous detective protagonist on his first murder case, in which he is the prime suspect.
Young Sherlock has been one of the biggest instant streaming hits on Prime Video of 2026, winning over critics and viewers alike and earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 84%. Somewhat remarkably, Amazon has yet to announce a second season of Young Sherlock, although all signs indicate that it should be a no-brainer renewal. With its TV-14 rating, Young Sherlock is highly entertaining for viewers of nearly all ages and is one of the few truly must-watch series on Prime Video right now.
Scarpetta
Without a doubt, the best new show to binge-watch on Prime Video this weekend is none other than the new star-studded crime thriller, Scarpetta. Based on the famed book series by Patricia Cornwell, which began in 1990, Scarpetta features a star-studded ensemble led by Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, and more.
Kidman plays the titular protagonist, who is a brilliant forensic pathologist who uses her unique skillset to solve crimes. The 1990 debut novel Postmordem serves as the source material for the new Prime Video series, blending past and present-day narratives with Cornwell's 2021 novel Autopsy. In the new 8-part series, Dr. Kay Scarpetta tries to identify a serial killer by connecting two crimes that took place decades apart.
Scarpetta is currently the #1 most-watched series on Prime Video at the time of writing, following its Wednesday, March 11 release. All eight episodes of Scarpetta are available to stream now, and a second season is already in development. With its strong 70% Rotten Tomatoes score, wealth of compelling and established source material, and one of the most impressive and talented new casts on any series this year, Scarpetta is the one show that everyone will be watching on Prime Video this weekend.
