There's arguably no more iconic and globally recognizable action-adventure hero in gaming than Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, who over the years has been adapted into dozens of video games, films, and television series, not to mention other forms of media such as comic books, etc. Across all these adaptations, Lara Croft has seen countless redesigns, and fans are spoiled for choice when it comes to finding their favorite look for the beloved character.

Despite increasing hype for the upcoming Amazon Tomb Raider show starring Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, hers isn't the fresh new look that has captured most fans' attention. A newly released trailer showcasing yet another brand-new look has gamers absolutely floored, and it comes in the form of a completely unexpected Tomb Raider collaboration (via YouTube).

In a new trailer from none other than the popular free-to-play extraction shooter Delta Force, Lara Croft is officially making a return with a completely revamped look, seen above. Delta Force x Tomb Raider is the most recent "legendary collab" for the F2P action game, and it reimagines Lara Croft's iconic look in a refreshing way that has gamers losing it.

"I'm honestly baffled at the fact that DELTA FORCE of all places is where Lara would look her best," says Reddit user quillfoy."She looks SO good in this. Better than any of the Survivor games," says phatboyart, while maxxyman99 says it's "the best she’s ever looked lowkey & it’s not even a TR game."

As fans point out, this newest version of Lara Croft's character design takes inspiration from the "Survivor" era of the video games from the 2010s (i.e., Tomb Raider [2013], Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider), a look that is largely being phased out in favor of a more modernized one that blends classic Lara Croft with Survivor-era Lara's style, often described as the "unified" Lara Croft design.

Fans argue this new Delta Force skin is possibly one of the last major appearances of Survivor-era Lara before Tomb Raider fully shifts to the "Unified Lara" design. While most fans agree the look is top-tier Lara, others see it as a farewell to that specific design identity, since future projects appear to be emphasizing a more classic-inspired Lara with dual pistols, shorts, and a stronger adventurer silhouette.

Delta Force is a 2025 live-service, free-to-play extraction shooter that has featured several crossover collaborations since its launch, including IPs such as Arknights, the horror franchise Saw, and even a full-blown Black Hawk Down campaign. The newest Tomb Raider collab may be the last place fans expected to see such a stunning depiction of Lara Croft, but they're absolutely here for it nonetheless.

To access the Lara Croft skin in Delta Force, it effectively costs about 2,700 Delta Tickets (Delta Force's in-game currency) through the Tomb Raider Appearance Lucky Draw, with Lara guaranteed by the 50th draw. There's a limited-time promotion ongoing now where players can claim 2,600 Delta Tickets, essentially allowing them to grab the Lara Croft skin for free until May 29. If you're a hardcore Lara Croft fan, Delta Force's newest Tomb Raider collab is well worth checking out now.
