The Game Awards 2025 feel like a distant memory for most of us at this point, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 emerging as the big winner on a record breaking night. The other big winners at the time were Tomb Raider fans, who got confirmation that two games were on the way in relatively short order.
PSA: You Can Still Nab This Tomb Raider Freebie
As first reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, publisher Amazon Games has confirmed that anyone who signs up for an Amazon Games iD account, and then subsequently links it to either their PlayStation Network, Steam ID, or Xbox account will get the exclusive Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit pictured above.
Though offering something like this so far ahead of time seems like a slightly odd step, if you are a fan who is guaranteed to get the game when it drops, then you may as well hook this up to secure some cosmetic freebies.
In announcing the game, the developer shared the following insight on the official Tomb Raider website, saying, "Whether you're a veteran raider or new to Lara's world, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis delivers jaw-dropping visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern game design, and new surprises, while honoring the spirit and atmosphere of Lara Croft's debut adventure."
What we briefly saw from the game at the awards ceremony also looked pretty impressive, and they seem to have managed to avoid that divisive Unreal Engine 5 aesthetic that so many rail against. It's certainly a massive visual upgrade from the original, so let's hope it can deliver on the gameplay as well.
Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis Releases Soon
Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis still only has a release date of 2026, meaning we have less than eight months before it will supposedly be in our hands. Though there have been some rumors that it could be pushed to the start of 2027, we shouldn't have too long to wait in any case, particularly by modern AAA standards. We'll be waiting a little while longer for Catalyst, which is currently slated for release at some point in 2027.
