Tom Holland has finally confirmed he has married Zendaya, saying: 'I found my person, I'm the happiest I've ever been'.

The Spider-Man actor, 30, spoke to Esquire UK about the status of his relationship with the Dune actress following months of speculation over whether the couple had tied the knot.

Referencing a number of highly realistic, AI-generated 'wedding' images of the couple that went viral on Instagram and TikTok, Tom was asked if any family members had thought they’d missed their actual wedding after seeing the pictures.

His answer: 'No, because they were all there... That’s all you’ll get on that', confirmed that the nuptials did actually take place.

Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, first claimed that Tom and Zendaya, 29, were married during an interview at the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles in February.

Roach, 47, casually dropped in the news by saying, 'The wedding has already happened. You missed it!' but the couple declined to clarify at the time.

Zendaya first debuted her engagement ring, designed by London-based jeweller Jessica McCormack, at the 2025 Golden Globes.

Talking about his love, Tom said: 'Our business can present very stressful situations, and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time.

'We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.

‘So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.’

He also spoke about his first impressions of Zendaya in a refreshingly open chat.

He said: ‘Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her.

'She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room. I remember when she closed the door to leave, [producer] Amy Pascal was immediately like, “Well, she’s getting the job.”’

Zendaya and Tom Holland have been romantically linked since 2016, after they first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

They kept their relationship extremely low-key for years, and enjoyed their first joint red carpet appearance in five years at a photocall for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in which they both star, in Madrid on Monday.

Tom previously told Men's Health that he avoids walking the red carpet with his partner at premieres 'because it's not my moment, it's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us'.

There will be plenty of opportunities for joint appearances this year, though, because as well as reuniting as Peter Parker and MJ in the latest Spider-Man movie, the two also star together in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, due for release next month.

Tom spoke about Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth instalment of Holland’s tenure as the superhero, in his latest Esquire interview.

He said: 'The movie is already the best Spider-Man movie that we’ve ever made... This movie is a real mystery and for a large portion of the film, even Spider-Man is a little bit at odds and lost and is like, “What is going on?”

'We’re just trying to find ways to make this movie feel like a detective movie.’

Zendaya paired a simple gold band on her left-ring finger alongside the $500,000 Jessica McCormack-designed engagement ring she debuted in January 2025

Are Tom and Zendaya Hollywood¿s most popular couple?

What's your view?

And detailing who would be a great successor for his role, he said: '[Adolescence's] Owen Cooper would be awesome. Obviously, he’s super talented and the talk of the town right now.’

‘In the way that Robert Downey was such a mentor for me in my first three movies, I would love to be that person for whoever is next.’

He also touched on his 15-year goal to win an Academy Award, which he shared with The Hollywood Reporter during an interview in 2017:

He said: ‘It is truly a vote of our community. I’m sure there’s something quite poetic about [Leonardo DiCaprio] winning it later in his career ’cause I’m sure that felt so special to him.

'So I’m in no rush, but there is still obviously ambition and desire to one day stand up there and thank my mum.’

He was also asked about his iconic Lip Sync Battle performance of Rihanna’s Umbrella, which went viral for all the right reasons in 2017.

He said: ‘I did that Lip Sync Battle show when I was 20 or 21 and I didn’t think twice about it.

'But now, as someone who’s had a little bit more experience in the public eye and has lived a life of fame for the last decade, I would really overanalyse doing something like that.

'I just think, as you get older, you get a little bit more cynical. The downsides of something might be a little bit more obvious than the upsides of something.’
