Timothy Olyphant and Anya Taylor-Joy's fortunes are strong with their new Apple TV thriller.
Following its launch in late 2019, Apple TV gained a reputation for producing premium content and Emmy-winning projects, particularly in the thriller genre, such as Severance, Slow Horses, and Dark Matter. The streamer continues to expand its thriller catalog with new series like the Cape Fear remake and Imperfect Women. Among their greatest achievements is bringing Olyphant and Taylor-Joy together for the first time in a new adaptation, Lucky. Now, it's making an impact on Apple TV's streaming charts in just one day.
In the United States, Lucky has skyrocketed to the #1 spot on Apple TV's top 10 streaming charts, even though it was just released on July 15. In fact, the thriller overtakes the streamer's other popular series, Silo, which returned for season 3 in early July and currently drops new episodes weekly. Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Widow's Bay, and Cape Fear clear out the top 5 spots, while the top 10 elite list also includes Ted Lasso, Your Friends & Neighbors, Sugar, Shrinking, and Trying.
The first two episodes of Lucky are streaming on Apple TV. The following episodes will drop weekly until August 19.
