This GTA 6 Interactive Map Lets You Start Planning Your Adventures Now

Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to be a massive release that people won't stop talking about for weeks, months, or even years. Because of that, it's spawned a lot of fan projects to keep everyone apprised of all the rumors and leaks so far.

While GTA 6 is still months away, through the State of Leonida fan project, you can start planning your adventures now.

The GTA 6 Mapping Project Keeps Getting Better

There's So Much To Discover Already

In case you weren't aware, GTA 6 takes place in Leonida, a fictional state within the Rockstar universe. It's set to be a pretty huge map with multiple counties, and fans have already started piecing together the info on a gigantic board, so to speak. It's a painstaking process, but a team of folks has been working away at it for months, and it's a great time to check out the map.

If you load up the State of Leonida website now, you can start to get a sense of what the team was going for. They even have store names on the map, alongside embedded screenshots that align in an uncanny way.

At this point, there have been a ton of updates to the system that make navigation even easier:

• Background color options
• Countdowns
• Share capability for markers
• Faster load times
• Media panel with screenshots/trailers
• Map drawing functionality

It's incredibly impressive, and the community shows no signs of stopping. There are still updates on the way for 2026, as we ease into the full launch of GTA 6 on November 19. If there's another trailer shown off by Rockstar anytime soon, expect copious amounts of updates and routes to be added to the State of Leonida project.

It's Still A Long Wait

When that time comes, it'll be interesting to see how the community reacts to the new map, and what it looks like with everything filled in. Rockstar seems to be going all-out on this one from a technical standpoint, so it stands to reason there will be more interactive buildings and shops in GTA 6​​​​​​.

Based on the scant few trailers for GTA 6 on their own, it seems like we'll meet a variety of eccentric cast members from all parts of Leonida. If they're split across multiple counties, you may be doing a ton of driving during the campaign (with concessions for fast travel, no doubt). Once we get to see the map for ourselves and compare it to past entries, it could be one of the biggest open worlds to date.

In any case, we'll need to keep track of all the chaos as we delve into this gigantic map together. When Grand Theft Auto 6 finally does arrive, we'll be prepared.
