She appeared in popular films all throughout that period, including multiple hit comedies in the 2000s and 2010s.
More recently, this star has stepped back from Hollywood as she battles a debilitating illness, but she has continued to inspire fans and raise awareness.
Can you guess who she grew up to be?

She's Married... With Children and Anchorman star Christina Applegate.

Applegate was pictured in a green dance outfit with gold sequined stripes as she gazed into the camera in the vintage photo.
The 54-year-old actress, who was born in 1971, wrote in her caption about the ongoing importance of dance in her life.
'Dance became the thing that saved me, and has saved me ever since... Not being able to dance as I once did now that I have MS is one of the hardest things about the disease,' Applegate admitted. 'It’s impossible to overstate how important dance is to me.'
She signed with 'From You with the Sad Eyes,' a reference to the title of her upcoming memoir You With The Sad Eyes, which will be released on March 3.
Applegate announced in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), and she has shared her struggles with the illness on social media ever since, even as she has stayed away from the big and small screens.
Applegate is best known for starring on Fox's politically incorrect comedy Married... With Children from 1987 to 1997.
She played Kelly Bundy, the air-headed daughter of Al and Peggy Bundy (played by Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal).

Applegate also starred in the comedy classic Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (pictured; 2004) with Will Ferrell, along with other hit comedies
The show was the first live-action sitcom on the fledgling Fox network, and it became one of the longest-running sitcoms of all time, partly because the network had few others shows to run for much of the '80s and early '90s.
However, Married... With Children is now regarded as a classic TV comedy despite receiving poor reviews at the time.
Applegate then led the NBC sitcom Jesse from 1998 to 2000, and later starred on Samantha Who? from 2007 to 2009.
More recently, she appeared with Linda Cardellini in Netflix's popular black crime comedy Dead To Me, which debuted in 2019 and released its third and final season in 2022 after it was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Applegate also starred in the comedy classic Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) with Will Ferrell, and she appeared in comic hits including Hall Pass (2011), Vacation (2015) and Bad Moms (2016).
But Applegate's career came to a halt in 2021, when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
She went on to finish the final season of Dead To Me, but since then her acting work has been on hold as she works to manage the disease's symptoms.
Applegate's latest throwback post coincided with her announcement that she is launching an online platform that will allow people living with MS to share their experiences with the illness.

On Monday, Applegate announced that she was involved in the creation of a new online platform that allows people with MS to share their experiences
She said the new platform, Next in MS, would be a site for her to share 'what I'm thinking, the questions I'm asking, the people I'm talking to and what I learn along the way'
The new platform, Next in MS, was created in partnership with the pharmaceutical company TG Therapeutics, according to its website.
'Living with multiple sclerosis isn't easy — I've been open about that for a long time,' Applegate said in an introductory video on the service. 'The hard days, the frustration, the moments where things don't always make sense. But I'm at a point where I want to talk about something else too. I'm at a point where I want to talk about what comes next.

'I don't have all the answers, but I do believe in being informed, staying curious and moving forward together,' Applegate added.
