The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 will soon be on Netflix.

After The Walking Dead series finale, fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) got his own spinoff series. It begins in France, which is where the television universe's zombie apocalypse first began, and he comes across a young survivor named Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), who is believed to be a savior for humanity's future. Daryl later reunites with his longtime friend Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), who is a series regular in seasons 2, 3, and 4.

Netflix has now revealed that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 will be available to stream on the platform as of July 19. This comes ahead of the fourth and final season releasing later in 2026, although it does not have a set release date yet. Seasons 1 and 2 are already on Netflix, so subscribers will be able to watch the series in its entirety before season 4.

While most of The Walking Dead's seasons contain 16 episodes, Daryl Dixon's seasons are far shorter. There are six episodes in season 1, six in season 2, seven in season 3, and eight in season 4. With only 19 episodes out so far, the spinoff is well-suited to being a Netflix binge-watch before season 4, especially when compared to the 177 total episodes across the original show's 11 seasons.

Along with Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead: Dead City are also streaming on Netflix. Dead City is the franchise's only other ongoing series, with season 3 slated to debut on July 26. It is unknown whether the New York City-set spinoff focused on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will return for a fourth season, and the franchise does not have any other shows confirmed to be in development at this time.

There has been speculation about Daryl, Carol, Negan, Maggie, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), and other characters from the original series reuniting after their various spinoffs, but there has been no confirmation of whether this will happen. Rick and Michonne's story was told in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which consists of one season with six episodes.

With an overall critics' score of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, Daryl Dixon's reviews have generally been positive. ScreenRant's Sarah Moran gave season 3 eight out of 10 stars and wrote that "After stumbling a bit with season 2, Daryl Dixon season 3 is a return to form. It makes the most of its new setting, using Spain for its stunning locations as well as fascinating history and culture." Given the 52% Popcornmeter score, audiences are more divided on the spinoff, with season 3 being the only one they have given a "Fresh" rating at the minimum threshold of 60%.

Beyond Reedus, McBride, and Scigliuzzi, other The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon cast includes Clémence Poésy as Isabelle Carriere, Laïka Blanc-Francard as Sylvie, Anne Charrier as Marion Genet, Adam Nagaitis as Quinn, Romain Levi as Stéphane Codron, Eduardo Noriega as Antonio, Joel de la Fuente as Losang, Óscar Jaenada as Federico "Fede" de Rivera, Alexandra Masangky as Paz, Hugo Arbués as Roberto, and Candela Saitta as Justina de Rivera. The series was created by David Zabel.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 comes to Netflix on July 19.
