Wanda Maximoff and Vision smiling in black and white in WandaVision

The Scarlet Witch and Vision were once one of Marvel’s greatest power couples. However, after a string of unfortunate accidents and poor decisions, the two have remained divorced for close to forty years. Despite their separation, the duo remain a well-loved and celebrated partnership that most fans have been spending decades waiting for. Until Marvel decides to mend old wounds, some artistic fans are giving readers exactly what they want.

User “aH r” (@errslance) on Twitter / X showed off earlier this month a fantastically adorable piece of art, showing Wanda and Vision happily back in each other’s arms. Celebrating what still could be a beautiful reunion in the comics, Wanda and Vision give a heartwarming embrace while getting involved with Halloween’s seasonal festivities.

aH r’s interpretation of the couple cheerfully calls back to their interpretation in the Halloween episode of WandaVision, albeit a bit cheekier this time around. Regardless, the artist’s colorful design truly ignites their shared love and the vibrancy of their unlikely reunion.

The Heroes’ Tragic Romance May Not Be Tragic Forever

Wanda and Vision’s Broke Past Doesn’t Make For a Broken Future

Scarlet Witch meets White Vision for the first time after his recreation.

When the couple first separated, it was as if part of both characters had died. In Vision’s case, he actually did. After being disassembled and pieced back together, Vision was left with none of his original identity or his memories of the Scarlet Witch and their miraculous twins. Heartbroken, Wanda was forced to turn away as the metallic synthezoid looked back at her with an emotionless gaze. Tragically, what is commonly nicknamed “White Vision” eventually callously broke up with Wanda over the phone.

Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver Get A Redesign That Actually Embraces Their Transian Origins

What would Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have looked like if their mother had kept them and they stayed in Transia? This fan art has the answer.

Many years later, and a series of tragic magical accidents later, the wedge between the ex-lovers only grew. However, in recent years, the once-power couple have slowly rebuilt a new friendship. While settling down in her new home of Lotkill, Steve Orlando and Sara Pichelli’s Scarlet Witch series brought Vision’s daughter, Viv, and Wanda together. Viv, plagued by nightmares of her mother’s death, leaned on Wanda to help free her from her torment. By the finale of their journey, Viv finds a powerful confidant in Wanda, understanding what her father originally saw in the Scarlet Witch.

The Marvel Power Couple May Still Have a Future Together

Wanda and Vision celebrate Halloween while carving pumpkins.

Most recently, in this year’s installment of Crypt of Shadows, Marvel’s annual anthology of Halloween stories, Wanda and Vision were finally reunited. While the Crypt of Shadows stories are questionably canon, the short story “Do Androids Dream in the Witch House?” brought the two lovebirds back in a similar celebration to aH r’s own work. Just as much as aH r and the rest of the Marvel fandom would love to see the power couple return, it seems that Marvel isn’t quite done with the Scarlet Witch and Vision’s relationship.
