The Kelly Clarkson Show Ratings — How It Compares To Other Daytime Talk Shows, Explained

4 hours ago 3

The Kelly Clarkson Show ratings have traditionally been some of the highest in the daytime talk show rankings, and Clarkson is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Arguably one of the most successful American Idol winners ever, Kelly Clarkson has gone from Grammy-winning pop idol to Christmas music staple to reality TV judge with her role on The Voice to the host of her very own talk show, and even with the level of success of her previous ventures, it may be her most recent, The Kelly Clarkson Show, that's the most impressive.

The series first premiered on NBC in September 2019 and has been on the air ever since. Lest people forget her singing talents, Clakson opens each show with some "Kellyoke", a musical performance where she covers a song selected by the audience and finishes with an activity introducing the guest. She then sits down with her guest, or guests, and talks about everything and anything. It's a classic formula but one that Clarkson has nailed, and she's earned 4 out of 5 Daytime Emmy Awards for her work. It's an incredibly successful series, as the ratings suggest.

The Kelly Clarkson Show's success can be attributed to a lot of different things, but each of those things would not be nearly as successful without Kelly Clarkson herself. Clarkson has an effortless way about her on the show. It seems like she is always having fun and no matter the guest, the song choice, or the time of year, it appears that there's nowhere else she would rather be. Clarkson has conversations with her guests using a disarming and down-to-earth style. It lets her guests relax, and in turn, her audience tunes in.
