August is almost over, and September is the month that starts setting up October as the major Halloween season with horror releases. Viewers looking to get in the mood are seemingly turning to vampires on Hulu, judging not only from Nosferatu's entrance on the streamer's Top 15, but also how two of Robert Pattinson's Twilight movies are also on the same chart. Additionally, one of Nosferatu's main stars, Nicholas Hoult, was recently in the news as one of the new additions to HBO's Harry Potter series. While the actor has since dropped out, that might have given his horror movie a boost on Hulu.

Nosferatu director Robert Eggers is one of the biggest names in horror right now. He is on quite the streak of impressive genre releases, including movies like The Northman, The Lighthouse, and The Witch, in addition to Nosferatu. Eggers' next horror film will see him re-team with most of Nosferatu's core cast, as stars like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe return to work with the director on Werwulf. The 14th-century gothic werewolf movie will be released in theaters on December 25, 2026, and if it can do for werewolves what Nosferatu did for vampires, then it will be the perfect follow-up.
