The Golden Bachelorette: Joan Vassos Should End Up Alone (The Final Men Have Red Flags)

1 week ago 3

The Golden Bachelorette has been an entertaining first season as 61-year-old Joan Vassos, but she should leave the show single. Her search for a partner to spend her golden years with started successfully, but her last remaining men, Guy Gansert and Chock Chapple, may not be the perfect fit for her. Representing Rockville, Maryland, Joan has been a great example of a confident woman who handles matters maturely yet seeks out the fun side of situations.

Joan is now left with two men following the fantasy suites, but something doesn’t feel right about the coming journey. Despite Joan having stated multiple times throughout the season that she is unsure she is one hundred percent ready for love again, the real red flags are coming from her two remaining suitors. None of them feel like the right fit for her, and while Bachelor Nation is rooting for her to have her happy ending, it may be best for Joan if she ends up alone instead of heartbroken.

Chock Is Chock-Full Of Warning Signs

Chock is a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas. Despite his obvious fondness for Joan, he remains reserved and has stated he is in love with her, but is he? This is made more complicated by the tragic passing of his beloved mother, which has taken a heavy emotional toll on him. Chock may need some time to process this trauma before he can truly dedicate powerful emotions to another special woman in his life.

Aside from Chock’s narrative presented thus far, fans agree that something feels off about his energy on camera. He has been consistently overconfident all season since he arrived at the mansion, prompting some to suspect he is not there for the right reasons and may be chasing clout instead of true love. Additionally, his stoic demeanor and minimal expressions may lead Joan and the audience to question if his feelings are fading.

Guy Does Not Seem Like The Guy For Her

Guy is a 66-year-old ER doctor from Reno, Nevada. Of the remaining three paramours, he lives the furthest from Joan, which may make the commute rather challenging if they cannot successfully achieve the establishment of a mutually agreed upon home base. Additionally, Guy is similar to most of the season’s contestants who are learning how to love and be loved again, but eagle-eyed viewers immediately detected his painfully long hesitation when asked if he would propose were he to make it to the finale.

If all of these obstacles did not provide enough evidence of his mismatch with Joan, recent reports have surfaced that reveal Guy’s ex-wife filed a restraining order against him, citing a need for protection. Even though she later dismissed the order request voluntarily, rumors and controversy now surround Guy as to the details of the whole sordid affair. While it is likely he conducted considerable introspection and personal growth since that incident, fans are still hesitant that heightened emotions could someday make him act out of character once again.
