Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.
For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things Bosch, Mission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.
He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.
His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.
Welcome back to the messiest block on television. Your Friends & Neighbors, the glossy and surprisingly fun suburban thriller starring and executive produced by Jon Hamm, is officially coming back for Season 3 — and that news lands before Season 2 has even premiered. Apple TV also dropped a first teaser for the new season, giving fans a fresh look at the increasingly chaotic life of Andrew Cooper.
Season 2 makes its global debut on Friday, April 3, 2026, with one episode, followed by weekly installments every Friday through mid-June. If Season 1 proved anything, it’s that this show thrives on slow-burn tension, rich-people secrets, and the kind of bad decisions that spiral fast.
Created by Jonathan Tropper, the series follows Andrew Cooper, a disgraced hedge fund manager who quietly turns to robbing his wealthy neighbors to maintain the illusion of his old life. It’s part crime drama, part social satire, and part “how did it get this bad?” character study — and Hamm plays the unraveling antihero with just the right mix of charm and desperation. Season 2 raises the stakes. Andrew is now fully committed to his double life as a suburban thief… until a new neighbor arrives who might be a little too observant. According to the official logline:
In season two, Andrew Cooper doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.
That new neighbor is played by Emmy nominee James Marsden, joining a returning cast that includes Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan. In other words: the whole neighborhood is back, and things are about to get even more awkward at the HOA meetings.
Behind the scenes, Tropper continues to steer the ship as showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer under his overall deal with Apple TV. Hamm also executive produces alongside Connie Tavel, Craig Gillespie, Jamie Rosengard, Lori Keith Douglas, and Stephanie Laing, with Laing directing multiple episodes this season.
How Good Is 'Your Friends & Neighbors'?
Collider awarded the series 9/10 in a highly positive review, with Nate Richard stating:
Certain moments in Your Friends and Neighbors are almost too on-the-nose in their satire. One particular storyline involves Nick investing in an expensive, Bluetooth-connected toilet, which we later see a character vomit into. Yes, Coop explicitly mentions how overt the metaphor is, but that doesn't make the moment any less blatant when it plays out. Your Friends and Neighbors is clever, intense, snarky, and carried by Hamm doing what he does best as an actor. It also keeps Apple TV+'s small-screen streak going strong with one of the streamer's most exciting new shows yet.
Season 1 is streaming now on Apple TV, just in case you need to catch up on who’s lying, who’s stealing, and which neighbor definitely knows more than they’re letting on.
Release Date April 11, 2025
