The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart and his new fiancée Marianne Fonseca put on a loved-up display as they enjoy romantic lunch date in Sydney

The Chainsmokers singer Drew Taggart put on a loved-up display as he stepped out in Sydney with his new fiancée Marianne Fonseca on Tuesday.

Prior to The Chainsmokers set at the Palm Tree Music Festival, Drew, 34, and Marianne, 35, explored the city and enjoy a romantic lunch date.

The pair were spotted leaving swanky waterfront fine dining restaurant Mimi's in Coogee.

Drew cut a casual figure for the lunch date, wearing a dark blue jacket over a plain white singlet as he walked alongside his fiancée.

He also wore loose-fitting grey cargo pants and finished his outfit with a pair of brown-tinted glasses.

The singer later removed the jacket to reveal the white singlet and his heavily inked arms. 

Marianne meanwhile flaunted her lithe frame in a retro-style black and orange ring-necked Suzuki T-shirt.

She tucked the shirt into a pair of very skimpy light blue denim shorts, that showed off her enviably trim pins.

Leaving her long, brunette locks down for the occasion, Marianne finished her casual ensemble with a pair of black leather shoes and white ankle socks.

The couple looked absolutely besotted with each other as they left the restaurant, lovingly holding hands as they strolled the streets.

At one point, Marianne came up behind Drew and romantically threw her arms around him - an advance he happily accepted.

The Chainsmokers, are a Grammy award-winning US EDM duo, featuring Drew and collaborator Alex Pall.

They are best known for hits such as #Selfie, Roses, and their chart--topping collaboration with Halsey, Closer.

Drew confirmed his engagement to Marianne earlier this month via Instagram.

The singer shared a number of snaps from their engagement party, adding the caption: 'Hell Yea!' with a diamond ring emoji.

The photo dump showed off the model's large engagement ring - as well as glimpses of their party - including red roses throughout and plenty of red wine.

Their party took place at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, with a number of wine bottles seen in the background.

Drew and Marianne were first spotted together in May 2023 - after he had a short lived romance with Selena Gomez, as well as Steve Jobs' daughter Eve.

The couple sparked engagement rumours after they were photographed leaving Giorgio Baldi - with Marianne showing off her diamond ring by putting her hand up as she held on to a glass of wine.

Marianne revealed, after the post, that incumbent first daughter Ivanka Trump played a vital role in the proposal.

She explained on her Instagram Stories that Ivanka tricked her into thinking they were having a girls night out together.

But when she arrived to what she believed would be a dinner date with Ivanka, it was Drew who was waiting for her. 

'But when I got there, it was my love @DrewTaggart. You guys got me so good,' she said.

Ivanka added on her own Stories: 'It's the only time I'll ever lie to you @MarianneFonseca.'

The bride-to-be shared the sweet story while reposting Ivanka's gushing congratulatory tribute.

'Summer friends become lifelong loves. Congratulations @MarianneFonseca and @DrewTaggart. So happy for you both,' Ivanka wrote.

Marianne hails from Brazil and says she is the Founder/CEO of Gente Beauty.

Drew, who is part of the duo The Chainsmokers with Alex, was notably linked to Selena Gomez in January 2023.

He dated Chantel Jeffries for a year, before splitting in 2021. Other notable woman he has been linked to include Steve Jobs' daughter Eve, model Meredith Mickelson and influencer Haley Rowe.
