Taylor Swift sizzles in red velvet dress as she and Travis Kelce make surprise appearance at Maya Rudolph's Broadway show… ahead of their NYC nuptials

Taylor Swift and fiance Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance at the Broadway play Oh, Mary! in New York City over the weekend.

The 36-year-old Grammy winner, who is preparing to tie the knot with the NFL player, stopped by the production starring SNL alum Maya Rudolph with Kelce for a lowkey date night on Saturday.

The lovebirds had the chance to mingle with cast members as well as the director backstage at the Lyceum Theatre in the Big Apple.

Swift was stylish in a velvet, dark burgundy dress that fell down towards her ankles as well as a pair of open-toed heels. 

Her blonde locks were pulled back into a simple updo and allowed loose strands to border the sides of her face. 

The Love Story hitmaker accessorized the outfit with an assortment of flashy gold necklaces as well as a gold bracelet.  

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end donned a pair of black trousers as well as a patterned shirt for the evening excursion. 

For a finishing touch, the sports player added a red cap on top of his head that had 'Elwood' printed on the front. 

Swift and Kelce had the chance to mingle with Rudolph backstage who plays Mary Todd Lincoln in the Broadway production. 

The couple were also pictured with producer Lucas McMahon, director Sam Pinkleton, Cheyenne Jackson, Martin Landry, Bianca Leigh and Phillip James Brannon. 

The premise is 'an uproariously dark comedy about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln's assassination,' per the play's official website. 

Rudolph has been playing the starring role since April and her performances are set to conclude on July 5. 

The two stars made their grand arrival to the show shortly after it began and the songstress jumped to her feet to give a standing ovation during the curtain call, per People. 

Afterwards, Swift and Kelce were seen exiting the theater hand-in-hand as they headed to their next destination.  

The A-list couple's theater date over the weekend comes as the couple count down the days until they say 'I do.' 

The Daily Mail previously confirmed that Swift and Kelce are set to marry in NYC on July 3. 

And their extreme move to keep details of their upcoming nuptials a secret ahead of the big day was recently revealed. 

Lucky guests who received an invitation are being required to sign an NDA before receiving information in regards to the wedding, sources claimed to the Daily Mail.

Family and close friends of the couple are also allegedly being asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement. 

TMZ also claimed that those who RSVP are then sent a link to the NDA which requires guests to not disclose information about the wedding.

The Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Swift and Kelce for comment, but did not immediately hear back. 

A Daily Mail source also reported that the music artist is inviting guests and celebrity pals to her upcoming wedding via phone call.

However, guests have not been informed of the exact location of the nuptials or a specific date. Instead, they have been told to keep schedules open for the summer.

Insiders told TMZ that calling guests rather than sending traditional invitations is meant to keep wedding details private and prevent leaks.

A source recently claimed to the Daily Mail last week that the couple could tie the knot at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

However, other insiders have alleged to the Daily Mail that the the MSG location is a 'distraction plot' and not the real venue for the anticipated nuptials.

And business owners in the vicinity of Madison Square Garden have voiced concerns over a potential loss of revenue amid security accommodations.

Bars and restaurants near the venue claimed they haven't received any details regarding an event that could impact their businesses, according to TMZ.

TMZ claimed that Swift has also splurged $3 million to secure the large venue over the course of three days for setup, the ceremony and cleanup.

It is not known how many guests are expected to be in attendance at the forthcoming nuptials.

Some guests have additionally been informed that they cannot bring a plus one to the wedding.

It has also been previously claimed that the singer has asked some of her celebrity pals to be her bridesmaids, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.

Last year in August, Kelce popped the big question and Swift shared photos from the intimate engagement on Instagram with the caption: 'Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'

The sports player had turned his backyard in Kansas City into a secret garden wonderland, which offered a romantic atmosphere.

He had asked Swift to marry him shortly after they recorded an episode of his New Heights podcast together.

Two months after the pair tie the knot, Kelce is scheduled to kick off the new NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs in September.

Along with preparing for her wedding day, Swift has been keeping busy in recent days.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, the Love Story hitmaker wowed at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles.

And the following day, the songstress made an appearance to cheer on the Knicks during game four of the NBA Finals.

On Thursday, Swift reached a major milestone as she became the youngest woman ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The star became emotional as she gave a 21-minute speech during the star-studded ceremony.

Kelce flew out of Missouri to the Big Apple amid the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp to be by the singer's side during the event.

She was also supported by both of her parents Andrea and Scott Swift as well as her future mother-in-law Donna Kelce.
