Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding guests left in the dark over ceremony location as couple's vague instructions are revealed

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding guests have been left in the dark about the exact ceremony location ahead of the couple's anticipated nuptials next week. 

The 36-year-old Grammy winner is set to kick off wedding festivities shortly before the Fourth of July holiday in New York City. 

However, a source claimed to Us Weekly that lucky guests who scored an invitation to the big day have not yet been informed of the specific location. 

'Taylor and Travis told guests to be in NYC. No other location was provided,' the insider told the outlet. 

Those who received an invite were told to be in NYC on July 2 and July 3 with no other information being provided. 

The A-list couple are 'putting their guests on hold for a couple days,' the source said, before claiming that they have spent 'millions' on the wedding.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Swift for comment, but did not immediately hear back. 

Sources previously claimed to the Daily Mail that guests who received an invitation are being required to sign an NDA before receiving information in regards to the wedding.

Family and close friends of the couple are also allegedly being asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

Those who RSVP are then sent a link to the NDA which requires guests to not disclose information about the wedding

And details in regards to Swift's wedding dress were recently revealed earlier this week. 

The star is expected to wear multiple outfits over the course of the wedding weekend which takes place over the Fourth of July holiday, per Page Six.

A source claimed to the outlet that a number of custom dresses have been made for the Love Story songstress to choose from.

Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of the New York-based brand Monse are included in the running. The duo were recently co-creative directors of Oscar de la Renta until their exit in February.

And Swift herself is no stranger to the brand. On Tuesday, the performer made a surprise appearance at Kelce's Tight End University event in Nashville.

As she took to the stage to belt out hits for the attendees, Swift wowed in a sleeveless black Monse dress with shimmering silver details along the hem.

The star also opted for an eye-catching Oscar de la Renta gown from Kim and Garcia's collection for the brand as she attended close friend Selena Gomez's wedding last year.

Swift had given a glimpse of the $36,990 nude-colored dress which was made of shimmering sequin and floral details.

She has worn Oscar de la Renta other times in the past including for the Met Gala and other red carpet events. The brand, which had been helmed by Kim and Garcia at the time, also made striking costumes for Swift during her Eras Tour.

A source also told Page Six that Swift will most likely not stop by a fashion house for fittings.

Instead, designers will use a mannequin with the singer's exact measurements when it comes to making custom dresses for the big day.

Back in April, a separate insider claimed to the Daily Mail that Swift's wedding dress could be inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's gown during her 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton.

The star also included a song titled Elizabeth Taylor on her 2025 album The Life Of A Showgirl.

Swift and Kelce have also allegedly enlisted the bride's old friends Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw to perform at their wedding.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that the pop star and the NFL player will throw a wedding function at Madison Square Garden next Friday, July 3. 

Whispers circulated this week that the couple are planning a smaller gathering for about 100 intimates at the arena on Thursday, July 2, followed by a more extravagant affair with roughly 1,000 attendees the next night, via the New York Times.

Now insiders have claimed McGraw and Nicks will play a 'Wedding-palooza' one source characterized as 'bigger than the Met Gala,' per Page Six.

Swift first rose to fame in 2006 with a wistful song called Tim McGraw, which became the lead single of her self-titled debut album.

Daily Mail also contacted Swift's reps for comment, but have yet to hear back. 

Then in 2007, while she was establishing herself as a pop idol, Swift opened on tour for McGraw and his wife and fellow country star Faith Hill.

Meanwhile Swift is a longtime friend and admirer of Nicks, who is best known for her work as the frontwoman of the iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac.

Earlier this month, Swift went viral for wearing a Stevie Nicks t-shirt to Madison Square Garden while attending Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Nicks has praised Swift as enthusiastically as vice versa, and was especially effusive about the younger singer's 2022 song You're on Your Own, Kid. 

Sources claimed this week that the smaller gathering that Swift and Kelce are holding at Madison Square Garden next Thursday is in fact a rehearsal dinner, per Page Six.

One industry insider mused that 'I think it’s possible' the couple have already officially exchanged vows in advance of next week's functions.

News broke this week that a local event planning company has filed for permits to close the streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to midday July 4, requesting sufficient space for trucks, canopies and tents.

New York's City Hall confirmed the existence of the permit application and indicated the event will include between 500 and 999 attendees.

A city official purportedly briefed on the plans went as far as to disclose that 'wedding festivities' were being prepared at Madison Square Garden on July 3. 

Players for Kelce's NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are said by a source to have booked rooms at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown Manhattan next week. 

An insider informed the Daily Mail in early June that Swift and Kelce had embraced the idea of a 'spectacle' wedding and selected Madison Square Garden as the venue.

At that stage, talks were purportedly already underway with the New York Police Department (NYPD) about how to ensure the arena's safety on the appointed date.

Last year in August, Kelce popped the big question and Swift shared photos from the intimate engagement on Instagram with the caption: 'Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'

The sports player had turned his backyard in Kansas City into a secret garden wonderland, which offered a romantic atmosphere.

He had asked Swift to marry him shortly after they recorded an episode of his New Heights podcast together.
