2026 has been quite a year for Taylor Sheridan fans, and the acclaimed Western writer isn’t stopping anytime soon with new seasons of some of his best shows on the way. Next up on the slate for Sheridan is the highly anticipated fourth season of Tulsa King, his hit Sopranos replacement series starring Sylvester Stallone that seems to find its stride more with each passing season. Tulsa King Season 4 is set to begin streaming on October 16, and Paramount has already renewed the show for Season 5, also confirming that it will be the first season of the show set in New York and not Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sheridan also has the first ever Tulsa King spin-off, Frisco King (starring Samuel L. Jackson), in the works, which is also confirmed to be released in 2027.

Another Sheridan-written and produced show that’s awaiting a release date for its fifth and final season is Mayor of Kingstown, the epic crime saga starring Jeremy Renner. Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 aired last year, and when the show was renewed for Season 5, it was confirmed at the same time that it would be the final season of the show. While it’s still unclear when Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 will be released, fans are being treated to a new release from the series that’s spreading like wildfire. All four seasons of Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown were added to Netflix just this week, and after only a few days, the show has already surged into the top 10. With four full seasons to watch, too, it will likely be around for a while as viewers continue to binge the series.

What Is ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ About?

In addition to Jeremy Renner as Mike McClusky, Mayor of Kingstown also stars co-creator Hugh Dillon as Ian Ferguson, Tobi Mantefa as Bunny, Taylor Handley as Kyle McClusky, Derek Webster as Stevie, Edie Falco as Nina Jobbs, and Hamish Allan-Headley as Robert. The official synopsis for the series, which holds scores of 64% from critics and 84% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes across four seasons, reads as follows:

“A crime drama about an important contemporary issue, America's prison system, Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family in Kingstown, Mich., where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry; the family of power brokers between police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians tackle themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality; the crime thriller series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.”

Check out the first four seasons of Mayor of Kingstown now on Netflix and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the series.
