Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things BoschMission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

Landman may have become one of Paramount+’s biggest draws, but that does not mean everyone involved knows exactly what comes next. Taylor Sheridan’s West Texas drama has built enough momentum that a third season feels more like an inevitability than a question, yet the latest update from one of its rising stars is a little less concrete than fans might have hoped.

That update comes from Michelle Randolph, and it is basically this: she is still waiting. Speaking in a new interview, Randolph said she has not yet seen any scripts for Landman Season 3 and does not have exact dates for when she will return to work. When asked directly when filming would begin, she replied, “I haven’t seen any scripts. I don’t have exact dates — yet.” She then added a hopeful, “Hopefully. I love a Texas summer.

That is not a bad sign, exactly, but it is definitely a more uncertain answer than fans were probably looking for after Season 2 ended with so many moving pieces still on the board. Randolph plays Ainsley Norris, Billy Bob Thornton’s free-spirited on-screen daughter, and she hinted that Season 3 could push the character into a new phase of life.

What Can We Expect From 'Landman' Season 3?

With Ainsley now off at college, Randolph also stated that she is excited to discover who the character becomes away from her family and outside her comfort zone.

"Well, we know who Ainsley is when she is around her family and comfortable. So I’m looking forward to seeing and discovering who she is when she goes to college and she’s around her peers and out of her comfort zone. I think we saw speckles of that in season two toward the end. What’s cool about growing with a character is, especially on a TV show, you get to meet them at different points in their life. I’m learning who Ainsley is as she’s learning who she is. That makes me excited to get back."

The cast of Landman includes Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris,Ali Larter as Angela Norris, Randolph as Ainsley Norris, Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris, Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Andy Garcia as Gallino, and Sam Elliott as T.L. Norris.

Landman streams on Paramount+. Season 3 will hopefully stream by the end of 2026.
