Taylor Frankie Paul‘s turn as the star of The Bachelorette has come to a screeching halt after ABC opted to shelve the premiere.
The reality dating series was supposed to feature the star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but after allegations of a domestic violence incident and a video from a 2023 incident in which she is seen physically attacking her ex, the network pulled the show.
Following the news that the reality series would not air as planned, Paul’s suitors have taken to social media to share their reactions.
Doug Mason shared on his Instagram Stories, “In light of everything that’s happened, I’m just sending out prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked. All we can do right now is be hopeful. Let’s stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need.”

Malik Evans also took to Instagram Stories and wrote, “I’m doing okay. Hope to share more soon. Thank you to everyone who has reached out.”
Matthew Carroll reposted a video which shared the news of the momentary cancelation and added, “On pause for now. Thank you for everyone’s support and thoughtful messages.”
Johnnie LaRossa said, “Appreciate everyone reaching out. Grateful for the experience. I’ve gotta say the group of guys were truly unbelievable. Nothing but respect for them. Love you boys, and any woman would be lucky to have each and every one of them!”
Clayton Johnson wrote, “I can honestly say this was one of the best groups of men I’ve ever been around. So much integrity, respect and heart across the board. Even the tough moments never took away from that. Any woman would be lucky to be with any of these guys.”
After news that ABC had pulled the premiere of The Bachelorette, Paul also released a statement via her representative.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a spokesperson for Paul said in a statement to People. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
The statement continued, “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
