TALK OF THE TOWN: Chukka'd out! Tigerlily's fury as car is towed to make way for polo fans

Polo In The Park is supposed to be a spot of posh summer fun – but try telling that to socialite Tigerlily Taylor whose car was towed because of parking restrictions near the event. 

Tigerlily, 31, the daughter of Queen drummer Roger Taylor, was seething and claimed she had been given no warning of the parking changes before last weekend's event. 

'Apparently, I'm not allowed to park on my own road because Hammersmith and Fulham have rented out the road to people going to polo,' vented the founder of the aptly named nail brand Claws. 

The annual match, held at the park beside private members' club The Hurlingham, is a honeypot for the Made In Chelsea and red chino brigade. It girl Tigerlily, however, is not a fan. 

'I live here and they have towed my car away and given me a ticket because I was parked outside my own house,' she moans. 

'They've given this road to whoever is at the polo so none of the residents are allowed to park outside their own houses. Is that not the most ridiculous thing ever?

'Hammersmith and Fulham is the worst council I've dealt with. Terrible. No communication.'

However, some of Tigerlily's neighbours tell me a different story. One resident says there is a two-month build-up to the event, and multiple leaflets are posted through the doors of affected houses to warn of parking changes.

'I've not heard of anyone being towed before. It's a bit stupid for someone to leave their car there,' says my source.

'It's been going on for five years now, so the residents know what to do. I always move my car on polo day. The council are pretty active with talking, sending emails and putting things through the door.'

The council also charges up to £280 for the courtesy of towing a car, so it is hardly surprising Tigerlily felt the need to vent…

A coup for Idris 

Idris Elba‘s daughter Isan was so proud as he was knighted by the King she couldn’t resist flouting Windsor Castle’s ‘no filming’ rule.

‘I’m not supposed to record this but yolo [you only live once],’ model Isan, 24, told her Instagram followers, adding: ‘I’m making history being the first to vlog a knighting.’

I’m surprised she smuggled in her camera. ‘Security was insane,’ she revealed.

Good to see seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams back in action at Queen’s Club and I can reveal she practised her groundstrokes before the tournament at Princess Diana’s old haunt, the Harbour Club in Chelsea.

Rocker Courtney Love has certainly had a wild love life, dating the likes of Kurt Cobain. 

Now it seems the 61-year-old is looking for more romance, as her profile’s been spotted on dating app Hinge. 

She is not the first celeb to look for love online but they usually opt for Raya. Courtney has opted for the everyman app – perhaps she wants someone normal after all.

The mother of socialite Lola Bute isn’t flavour of the month with her Notting Hill neighbours after submitting plans to add an extension to her home – and pass it off as a shed.
