Take a Trip to Bob’s Void in This Exclusive ‘Thunderbolts’ Clip

1 day ago 8

The Void is a terrible place, filled with everything that scares you and makes you feel shame. But, in this new clip from the upcoming home release of Thunderbolts, you’ll realize it’s also a place to really push the boundaries of filmmaking.

Thunderbolts, or The New Avengers if you’d like, is the latest film from Marvel Studios, for a few more weeks at least. It stars Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Wyatt Russell as the latest, but probably not greatest, superhero team in the MCU. They’re also joined by Lewis Pullman as a character named Bob. Bob is also Sentry, quite possibly the fastest, strongest superhero there is. Unfortunately, that also comes with access to the Void, an evil holding place where Bob can pry into your deepest, darkest fears. It’s the setting of the film’s big finale, and in this exclusive clip from the digital release on July 1, you can see how it all came together.

That clip is just part one of the three behind-the-scenes featurettes on the digital release, which also includes two deleted scenes, a gag reel, and director’s commentary. Here’s the full list, as per the press release:

  • Deleted Scenes—Check out the scenes that didn’t make the final cut: “Door is Unliftable” and “Gary Announcement.”
  • Assembling a Team to Remember—Spend a bit of quality time with the cast and crew of Thunderbolts* as they divulge how the film’s fictional team of superpowered mavericks, misfits, and antiheroes was assembled.
  • Around the World and Back Again—Discover the eclectic locations and astounding production design that helped make Thunderbolts* a rousing reality, including a visit to the sprawling sets in Kuala Lumpur where we join Florence Pugh performing stunts atop one of planet Earth’s tallest buildings and blowing up buildings on the streets.
  • All About Bob, Sentry & The Void—Deep dive into the making of three different characters: Bob, Sentry, and the Void—all performed by Lewis Pullman.
  • Gag Reel—Enjoy fun outtakes on set with the cast and crew of Thunderbolts*.
  • Director’s Audio Commentary—Watch the film with audio commentary by director Jake Schreier.

Not a bad little slate. Thunderbolts will be released on digital tomorrow, July 1, and 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD July 29.
