Susanna Reid made a very cheeky comment about the sexy swimsuit she wore to O Beach Ibiza last month.

The presenter, 55, looked incredible in the plunging black one-piece as she posed with the beach club's scantily clad dancers who held up placards telling revellers to 'Vote GMB'.

Appearing on the National Television Awards (NTA) red carpet on Tuesday, Susanna revealed the sizzling snap was all a clever ploy to get her followers to vote Good Morning Britain (GMB) in the Best Daytime Show category.

In an interview with Woman And Home, Susanna said: 'I got the big guns out. There's something about being 55 and you just think, you know what? Just put your swimsuit on and go to a day club and get them to vote for GMB.

'I feel like we've won because we're on the shortlist. It feel like a winner's enclosure'.

Susanna also revealed she had no intentions to stay up late and party because she would have to front the television show in the morning.

Appearing on the National Television Awards red carpet on Tuesday, Susanna revealed the sizzling snap was all a clever ploy to get her followers to vote for Good Morning Britain

She said: 'I've got to be up at four and Laura Tobin, our weather presenter, when I arrived at the studio this morning at 5:50am was: "are you coming to the afterparty at the NTAs?".'

Despite her voting campaign, GMB sadly lost out to This Morning in the category.

Susanna later wrote on Instagram: 'WINNERS! Not us - the trophy went to @thismorning so congrats to Ben and Cat and Sian, Alison and Dermot and the whole gang.

'But it felt like winning to be shortlisted by YOU our amazing viewers @gmb. Also HUGE congratulations to @chattyman for his special win.

'We all love what we do and we love that you love it too. See you at 6am tomorrow - and Ed will be able to shave off his goatee!!'.

After Susanna shared the swimsuit snaps to Instagram, it promptly gained 10k likes and no doubt some NTA votes.

The presenter had been enjoying tequila cocktails with her sons Sam, 24, Finn, 21, and Jack, 20, during the wild day.

'I loved it because I'm 55 years old, and if you're not going to go out and enjoy yourself in a swimsuit, what are you doing in Ibiza at 55? It was great fun,' she has told The Mirror

The Good Morning Britain presenter shared a glimpse of her annual Ibiza trip when she posted photos last month from her wild day at the island's infamous club O Beach

'Generally, as you know, I don't drink. I allow myself one day when I have a drink. So I have Paloma, which is tequila and grapefruit.'

'So I have a drink at O Beach, but very, very steady. I don't go mad,' she reveals of the holiday tradition.

The health-conscious star cautioned that she enjoys a couple of drinks and then leaves O Beach at around 8pm, leaving her sons to go clubbing into the early hours.

The star, who has to rise at 4am to host GMB, likes to get up early even on holiday, enjoying a spot of exercise and a sunrise walk on the beach.

Susanna is mother to sons Sam, Finn and Jack.

She previously said of her summer trips to Ibiza: 'It was amazing to really enjoy it with my boys now they are old enough to go clubbing.'
