Gwyneth Paltrow has finally opened up about her called off engagement to Brad Pitt.

On Tuesday, the 53-year-old Marty Supreme star described her three-year age-gap romance with Pitt, 62, as 'overwhelming' while appearing on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast.

She explained to hosts Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, 'I was very young and he was this beautiful movie star.'

She recalled meeting him while filming Se7en: 'I met him on set and we had kind of a love at first sight thing. It was pretty awesome. It was really fun.'

'I was just young, and we were working all over different parts of the world,' the Oscar winner remembered.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Paltrow and Pitt for comment but has yet to hear back.

The exes met in 1994, got engaged in 1996 and broke up in 1997.

When asked if their relationship felt more 'like a fantasy than a reality,' Paltrow said, 'There was an aspect of it that was very heady.'

And she said she is still friends with Pitt, gushing that he's great and she loves him, adding that she was 'so bummed' when they split.

The mom of two reflected about parting ways in the spotlight, 'I think the press aspect and all that makes it feel larger than life in a way.

'You have to carry this faux cultural importance piece, this extra burden and this extra shame that it didn't work out.'

Paltrow's unauthorized biographer Amy Odell claims in her book, titled Gwyneth: A Biography, that she was 'sad' when Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in 2000.

The Shakespeare in Love sensation went on to have a three-year relationship with Ben Affleck.

Asked who was better in bed, Pitt or Affleck, by Call Her Daddy's Alex Cooper in 2023, she answered: 'That's really hard. Because Brad was like the major chemistry love of [my] life at the time. And then Ben was like, technically excellent.'

Asked who she regarded as the better actor of the two, she said: 'They're both so talented. And Ben is a great writer and director.

'But I guess I would probably have to say acting alone, Brad. Because if you think of all the different roles that he's done.'

Paltrow married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 49, in 2003. She and the musician welcomed daughter Apple, 22, and son Moses, 20, before their 2016 divorce.
