Paulina Porizkova criticized the societal pressures women face as they grow as she stresses that 'aging is a privilege.'
On Sunday, the 61-year-old supermodel posted a candid video on Instagram and shared her thoughts on topic of beauty standards and aging gracefully.
'This one is for you, ladies of Instagram — and those of you who sometimes stop me on the street just to say "hi" and "thank you,"' she said at the beginning of the video.
'I guess the "thank you" is for making you not feel alone [in] not being psyched about aging,' she continued.
'Aging is such a privilege when we get to do it — and yet — it's so on the line, especially when it comes to women,' she added.
Her post comes shortly after she married her boyfriend Jeff Greenstein, 62, in casual ceremony in Italy — seven years after death of ex-husband Ric Ocasek.

The model and author discussed how women are expected to get surgery to look younger or risk career opportunities if they are able to and choose to age naturally.
'We get dismissed from the main tables when we age,' she continued.
'We are expected to go silent. We are expected to sort of withdraw from polite society,' she said.
Porizkova noted that many women feel the pressure to undergo invasive cosmetic procedures in order to still have a seat at the table.
'Those of us who are not ready to give it up have to go through surgical procedures,' she said. 'And those who don't care can withdraw, sure, and have very happy lives.'
She added: 'But there seems to be a lack of balance in here somewhere. Can't we age and still be at the main table? I mean, we have more to contribute now than we ever did.'
She encouraged other women to seek out and create more content that makes them 'feel good.'

How do you think society treats women who embrace aging naturally instead of turning to cosmetic procedures?

In her caption, Porizkova noted that her reflection was 'purely about scrolling on social media.'
She wrote: 'What makes you feel better? What makes you feel worse? What makes you feel envious? What makes you feel generous? What inspires you?'
As for her own answer, she said: 'I know I feel better when I see women who mirror my experiences.'
She continued: 'I feel worse when I have no ability to help in any way. (This is also feeling powerless in the face of awful things happening around me.) I get envious when I see my peers getting the thing I want.
'I feel generous when I see people I respect doing well and am able to transform the quick flash of envy into best wishes,' she added.
'I am inspired every time I see a woman being unapologetically herself.'
