Even though it’s fun, Sword Fantasy can be a very grindy game. When you’re just starting out, there isn’t that much you can do to progress other than kill mobs over and over again. With that said, we (along with other players) discovered an extremely fast and effective leveling method that got us from level 10 to level 16 in less than 30 minutes.
So, if this sounds interesting to you, read on.
Sword Fantasy early XP farm location
When you get the quest to kill 5 Giant spiders (after killing 15 regular spiders), you can start using this method. Head toward the mining area where the Giant Spider spawns (or where the regular spiders are) until you see other players roaming around.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to join their party, you don’t even have to talk to them, you just need to demonstrate what you’re going to do, and they should follow (after all, they need the XP just as much as you). Once you get to level 12 or higher, you can even do this method solo.
Sword Fantasy XP farm method
Start by killing the Giant Spider together. With two players, even at level 10, this shouldn’t take more than 5 seconds. Then, immediately start jumping and dashing to get the other player to follow you.
Exit the cave, making sure the other person is following you, and aggro (but don’t attack) every spider in the area you can see. Normally, there are 5 spiders in the area right outside the Giant Spider cave. After you get all five spiders to follow you, make sure they are all close to each other (it’s even better if they all clip together), and then start swinging your weapon. The other player should also start attacking.
Because of the way combat works in Sword Fantasy, you’ll hit every one of those five spiders with each swing. The only problem is, you’ll receive five attacks as well, hence why you need another player to dish out more damage so the spiders don’t overwhelm you.
Kill the five spiders and move towards the outer area of the mine (the one you used to come in). There should be another five or six spiders there. Make sure the other player is following you as you gather all the spiders again and kill them all at the same time, just like with the previous group.
Now get ready for the main event! By the time you’ve killed the second group of spiders, you should go back to the Giant Spider cave (the one where you started this run). You should be able to make it just in time as the Giant Spider respawns again. Kill it (again), and then repeat the entire process again. One loop like this takes about a minute and a half.
XP farm summary
Essentially, a single run goes like this:
- Giant spider
- 5 spiders outside the Giant spider cave
- 5-6 spiders in the outer area of the mine
- Repeat
Using this method, we gained five levels in less than half-an-hour and we just kept going. We also scored a few rare drops from fighting the Giant Spider over and over again and definitely got some much-needed XP for the Brood Mother fight up ahead.
So, don’t wait, go out there, start killing spiders with strangers and start farming that sweet XP and Mastery.
