Sundance Road Trip Comedy ‘The Shitheads’, Starring Dave Franco & O’Shea Jackson Jr., Gets U.S. Deal With IFC

EXCLUSIVE: Sundance road-trip comedy The Shitheads has secured a U.S. deal with Independent Film Company, which will release the film theatrically this summer.

Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. lead a cast also including Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, Peter Dinklage and Mason Thames.

Written, directed, and produced by Macon Blair, marking his third feature film following The Toxic Avenger and I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore, the movie trails two unqualified bozos (Franco and Jackson Jr. ) who are hired to transfer a rich teen (Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem. Story is from Blair and Alex Orr.

Mark Ward and Brandon Harmer negotiated the deal on behalf of Independent Film Company and WME Independent on behalf of filmmakers.
