Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things BoschMission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

With Netflix’s flagship sci-fi series now in the rearview, Stranger Things fans have been left in that awkward in-between phase where spin-offs are coming, but not fast enough to scratch the Hawkins itch immediately. The good news is that the franchise is not staying quiet for long. There is a brand-new Stranger Things release arriving tomorrow, March 10.

Dark Horse's Stranger Things Volume 10: Tales from Hawkins 2 comes out tomorrow, March 10, and it takes the full four issue anthology miniseries into one, well-bound volume. The book is written by Derek Fridolfs, with artwork from Sunando C, Bradley Clayton, Mack Chater, and Vincenzo Riccardi. Multiple retailer and catalog listings confirm the creative team, with Fridolfs continuing as the central storytelling voice for this latest Hawkins anthology. It's more of a companion piece to the adventures from Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, but it seems the perfect treat for those who've been yearning for another hit of the Upside Down.

What Can We Expect From 'Tales From Hawkins 2'?

Readers can expect stories such as the following:

Learn about Mr. Clarke’s harrowing encounter with Dart the demodog at the Hawkins drive-in theater. Witness the horror of the Upside Down as seen by Will Byers, the local “Zombie Boy.” Discover how killer KGB agent Grigori got from the mean streets of post-war Russia to the mild-mannered American Midwest. And behold the ill-fated experiment, and ensuing carnage, that started it all through the Demogorgon’s eyes (or lack thereof)!

What makes the release so well timed is that the future of Stranger Things is currently in the expansion phase, with an animated series releasing soon, and other spin-off ideas being, well, spun. But none of them are arriving as quickly as tomorrow, and honestly, the anthology setup makes a lot of sense for the franchise. Hawkins has always been packed with side characters who were arguably a lot more interesting than the main group, so this sounds like a great way to keep the story alive.

Stranger Things Volume 10: Tales from Hawkins 2 arrives on March 10 in bookstores. The book carries a $19.99 U.S. list price and runs 96 pages. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates on the future of Stranger Things.
