“When I found out I was having a baby girl,” Brittany—also mom to Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2—said in the Jan. 16 video, “my mind immediately went to pink for the nursery. I really wanted to go very warm and pink with Golden’s nursery, and then obviously tying in the gold just to go with her name was really where we got most of the inspiration for her room.”
And indeed, what lies behind Brittany’s nursery door is an adorably pink-ified room, complete with dusty rose-colored walls, white furniture with gold accents and sun-themed décor throughout, including a framed poster that reads, “Let your light shine.”
The 29-year-old also made sure to hand select what she describes as “the most important part” of a nursey: the chair.
As she noted, “You spend a lot of time in this chair as a mom, whether you’re breast feeding, bottle feeding, reading books, doing nighttime routine. So it needs to be comfortable.”
And, given the height difference between her and her NFL quarterback husband, Brittany opted for a chair with a separate ottoman, allowing for easy adjustment.

Other personalizations included swapping the drawer pulls on Golden’s bookshelf for gold-plated bows—an homage to her name—as well as a cursive sign bearing the words “Golden Raye” mounted above her crib.
Brittany wrote in the caption of her oasis, which fans can recreate for their own through Crate and Kids, “The most perfect space for our perfect baby girl. We will be spending so much time in this cozy space.”
Over the years, Brittany and Patrick have often invited fans into their inner world—including what led to their children’s element-inspired names.

As it turns out, it all started with the couple’s dogs Steel and Silver.
“I got steel in college and named him after that,” Brittany wrote in an April 2023 Instagram story. “We then got our second dog & was gonna name her sterling cause it went with steel perfect.”
“Then I said no, one day I want that to be daughters name so then we came up with Silver to go with steel. Then daughter came & we were already set on sterling,” she continued, “then having a boy and him being Patrick Mahomes III, Bronze was just meant to be and went perfect.”
