Dolly Parton's Steel Magnolias co-stars are remembering the icon following her death at age 80.
Shortly after the news was announced on Tuesday by her nephew Bryan Seaver, Julia Roberts, 58, said in a statement to People: 'Dolly was a magical and joyous human. I hold knowing her as a treasure in my life. The sun has dimmed today.'
Sally Field, 79, took to Instagram to share a photo of the cast from the late 80s movie set, writing in a caption: 'If there are truly angels on earth, then we have just lost one. Dolly Parton. There will never be another. I adored her with all my heart and will always cherish our time together. Forever. Rest in peace beautiful Dolly.'
Field and Roberts starred in the Herbert Ross-directed film as mother-daughter pair M'Lynn and Shelby Eatenton, and Parton played hairstylist Truvy Jones.
Rounding out the ensemble were Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, Tom Skerritt and Sam Shepard.
MacLaine, 92, wrote: 'God sent her to us, and she has returned home.'

Steel Magnolias follows a group of women in the south who lean on each other through life's trials and tribulations.
Parton's death was confirmed on Tuesday in an Instagram video posted by Seaver, who also served as her head of security.
She passed away after being admitted on Friday to Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center with autoimmune and kidney problems, according to TMZ.
Four days before her death, the singer told People she had 'so many things I want to achieve,' including launching a new hotel and museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
'This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago before I fully absorbed it as a future reality,' Seaver said in the clip.
He lauded his aunt for having 'lived in the light' and said she was now 'in the arms of Jesus' and the company of her late husband Carl Dean, as well as her parents and 'countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.'
Parton enjoyed an illustrious music career that stretched six decades and was best known for her hits Jolene and 9 to 5.
Her death comes after months of health issues that forced her to pull out of a string of public appearances.

Speaking with Vanity Fair in 2020, the Jolene hitmaker said she felt the role of Truvy was a great fit for her.
'I understood 'cause I used to always do my mama's hair... I’m good with my hands. So I’d do good hair. So I felt like Truvy,' she said.
'I felt like I was fit right in that spot, and I really liked the role that I played. And that was a huge success.'
Parton also gushed over her castmates, telling the outlet: 'I loved working with all those women. Somebody said, "How did you get along with all those women?"
'I said, "I just prayed that we weren’t all PMS at the same time."'
